Trish, you have several biker sisters here, so you already have a lot in common with us. There is BikerBettyBoop who has her own website and sells Betty Boop stuff, and there is Abettyboopster who has a real cool show bike with a Betty Boop theme which has won a number of trophies at shows in Florida. Then there is myself, who rides a 1998 750 Shadow ACE Deluxe, and who owns a 1999 custom Valkyrie (1800 CCs with the opened up engine and covered with dragons) which has also won awards at shows. BikerBettyBoop rides a new Harley Sportster. We all love the Biker Betty version of Betty Boop.

Whooohoooo to all the biker Betty lovers!!!! Unfortunely I don't own a bike yet, I'm just learning to ride, and have been looking around for a bike I would really want. My b/f has a 2000 Custom groundpounder soft tail, but I'm tired of always seeing everything over his shoulder and ready for my own.

Yes, I have a few things of Biker Betty, my b/f even bought me a toilet seat of Biker Betty, we have decided to do our bathroom in Harley's and Biker Betty. Just added a couple of more things to my collection from Christmas. I received a Biker Betty leather wallet and cell phone holder, then also got a stuffed Betty Doll, It's slow going but if I'm not careful I would buy everything I could of BB that I loved.

Hey Trish! You'll fit right in here! You're just like us! I recently bought Betty Boop kitchen towels and a set of potholder and oven mitt. There is so much stuff out there ya just can't get it all! Unless you win the lottery of course!;)
Your bathroom sounds very cool! Thank goodness your man supports you in your passion of Betty Boop! Mine does too.

I know what you mean about wanting to get from behind the rider and be the rider yourself. I really do prefer to ride my own steel steed rather than be a passenger.
Are you taking any riding courses? They really do help and may end up saving your life. I hope you are.
Just take it slow and easy. As you ride more you will be more comfortable and at one with the machine, and that means that you will ride with more confidence and more safely.

Don't just run out and buy any old bike...do your research! It's got to fit you and feel comfortable. I trained on a little 150 in class, then went out and bought a 450 Nighthawk before the class was over. I loved that bike, but after I'd been on it a little while I realized that I could have gone larger. After 13 years of not riding, I got back into it last summer and got my 750 Shadow. It fits me well, and I don't think I need to go much bigger at this point. I've chatted with other women riders in other forums who ride bigger bikes than mine, but I really don't want to have to deal with a real big machine.
I am of average height, but many women who ride are short and have problems with fit. When you decide to go shopping and if you have a problem with fit, let me know and I'll pass on their tips.

Yes, I'm taking riding courses, and I'm riding on my own a little, it's somewhat scary though. People just really don't pay attention to bikes out here. I've been looking around at bikes, but we discussed not just getting anything, my b/f said we need to get one that I would be happy with for a long time, which I do agree on. I'll just keep practicing until then, I can not ride my b/f bike as it is to large for me, it weighs about 1000 lbs and has a 113 cubic inch motor, and I'm not ready for that.

Well, take your time and do your research. Get one that is a little bigger and more powerful than you think you can deal with and it will be just right. Sit on a bunch of bikes.

It is scarey at first but it will get easier and easier the more practice that you get in. Of course, it's always good to have a healthy respect for the road, and a little fear can be a good thing. Remember to always use your inner "radar" and constantly look around you. Be alert and be safe.:)

Hi Biker, I am doing o.k my grandmother is still the same with a feeding tube in her & she can't really talk now, when I see her I just wan't to cry, I love her so much. My sister-in-law just had a baby March 19th it is a girl she was 9pds. 5oz, 23 1/2 inches long she is so beautiful she has a full head of hair & she is just perfect her name is Lianna. Hi Gina... my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your grandmother. My grandmother will be 97 in July and she is doing very well. My mother-in-law turned 75 a month before my mom.

We had a BBQ for my mom and I gave her a Betty Boop doll and cookie jar and t-shirt. It's easy to shop for my family.. I just give them Betty Boop items that they've admired in my shop... LOL...

I told my mom that everyone on the forum wished her a big happy birthday.. I told her that the Betty Boop doll idea came from the forum members!!

Congrats on becoming a new aunt.. good for you!! I love my nephews.. don't have any neices yet but one of my nephew's wives is expecting a baby in Sept. I hope it's a girl... she'd be the only one and we'd spoil her rotten.... I'd make her a Betty Boop doll baby for sure!!

The foster family that has 3 of my nephews has 2 other girls & 1 boy which we have also adopted into our hearts and family. so the grand total is 7boys & 4girls. ranging in ages from 4 to 12. and I love them all too bits.

I have 3 little sisters, ok maybe they're not so little anymore they are 18 16 and will be 15 in oct.I also have older sisters, but only saw them once and they live in calif. i do have neices and nephews but don't get to see them, my brother had a baby who is almost 1yr old now and i have only seen pics of her. but we are close still.

I do have two great nephews... they are so cute!! One just turned 2 years old and the other is 11 years old. I'm making a quilt for the 11 year old. I hope he likes it.
