Hey everyone how the heck are you?? I have to vent about something... I belong to A Marilyn Monroe messageboard it's called Breathless. Well I went on there this morning and I had A private message from the administrator of the site and she sent everyone who is A member of the site, A QUIZZ about the rules of the website, which I did abide by I am A very good member when it comes to posting on the boards. Well here are the rules of this QUIZZ she emailed all of this.... If you don't send A response back to her with your answers to this quizz within 24 hours you will be banned from the group for 24 hours.....and if you get 3 or more questions wrong on this quizz you will be banned PERMANENTLY from the group. Now I'm sorry but I think this is wrong to do, what do you all think??? Also if the new people who sign up to be members don't post A message within 24 hours you will be banned from the boards and you will never be able to become A member of BREATHLESS fanclub. And the administrator is doing this on A daily basis to all the new member who don't post in 24hours. OK now I understand that administrators have to keep their websites under control, and keep them clean and running and I can respect that but I just think this is A little extreme. What do you all think?? Sorry for venting my anger like this it just upsets me.:(

Too many sadists running these boards! Just leave them if you take it to be extreme or offensively.

I agree with our Adm./Mod. They're CLEANING house-(boards).

There are also a lot of cliques on these boards. If you didn't get there during the birth of the board and everybody knows you already...you can go on and try to comment on topics and you'll be totally ignored.
...on a board I was formerly affiliated with, they had a bad case of the cliques! Besides a biased administrator...there were board-hoards and you got no responses. They can even private message each other. So they would tell each other to not respond to a persons topic and hopefully they will go away.

It's awful on some of the boards.
Sorry that happened to you!
Every now and again...I check in to see what they are doing.

I don't want to belong to A group like that.:mad: To me it seem's like she is trying to single out certain members in order for them to leave. I don't know I could be all wrong about this but like I said it just seem's wrong to me. Oh well their loss I got better places to go like this lovely place.:D

i think it's quite a good idea in some kinda way. it stop's people who will be just wasting time and not actually a fan from taking up user names and space. but i think it is too much short notice!

That's a pretty cruel "call". I mean...shouldn't a person respond when THEIR time permits?

Some people actually have nothing else to do...BUT sit at the computer and post! There shouldn't be those kinds of restrictions.

This does seem extreme to me. I mean i became a member of this particular fan club forum because its relaxed, the people are friendly and welcoming. and mainly because it great to finally find people with the same BB obsession that i can chat to, compare collections with and there is no strict requirements. I can just pop in and catch up whenever i get the chance. Good on you JennyBoop for your decision & i totally agree with neckless with people checking in, in "their" own time. there are too many deadlines to deal with in everyday life with out being dictated to in our spare time.

That's pretty bad! I certainly wouldnt want to join a forum if I knew that they were monitering how often I posted. I think you were right to leave the club Jenny. I'm sure there are plenty of other marilyn monroe clubs online that are much more relaxed and less false about how they get people to keep posting! ;) x

for your info: I was on ebay last nite trying to add to my Betty collection. I won Betty Boop wine corks. They are so cute. While I was browsing I came upon a sticker for bids that had Betty topless. I didn't like that at all. How can that be done?

Leboop I'm glad you brought this up... I've complained to eBay 100's of times about these same eBay sellers who make and sell unlicensed nude and semi nude images of Betty Boop. You can file a complaint with eBay. Go to eBay's Rules & Safety Support: Send Message with auction number in it. Thanks for your help!! We've got to stop these illegal auctions!!
