In our house, we colored two dozen eggs. You know what I be having for breakfast for a couple of days.

Then we hid the plastic eggs and the kids had to find them.

It was a very pleasant day!

The reason that the date of Easter jumps around every year is because it is always the Sunday following the first full moon of spring.

i had a greta easter!! i went to my aunt's for easter dinner with my cousins :) i had a wondeful time :)

No, my mom and sister and my neice don't live around here anymore, and my dad and step-mom doesn't celebrate Easter. It's just not that big of deal right now. When I have kids that will be A different story.

Oh don't feel guilty about it... just don't over do it... one or two or three pieces won't hurt ...... just enjoy it!!

May Day is May 1st and it's a celebration of flowers and spring time!! Maybe it's the same day as the Queen's Day?

Ha ha Daisy..... our bugs are out in full force here in Arizona! My mom has a stupid nest of bees that we're trying to get rid of and the nats are everywhere... next will be the mosquitos and grasshoppers!!

Two snakes were dead on the road by my sister's house. I told her I was glad that they were down by her house and not my house!!

Yea were starting to get bees and wasps now YUCK!!! and I am noticing little tiny ant's now in my kitchen.

My mom had a swarm of bees around her house today and she was trying to spray them and got stung... we had to call an exterminator to take care of them.

We had wasps in the wall near our window last summer. I hope they won't come back! We couldn't even open a window or they would be in!

We do celebrate may day. Usually the first Monday in May is the bank holiday - which means a day off work! wohoo! xx

10eke I hate wasps... they are some mean and nasty critters aren't they with a horrible sting!

Thank goodness my mom's bees are all gone now... we have to be careful here because of the killer bees that have entered into our state from the south.

You can tell that Easter is over and May is on it's way when you see insects come out of hibernation!

Bexi I am glad to hear that you celebrate May Day... it's not a national holiday here... at least I don't think it is... it's on a Saturday this year. I just remember as a child, we'd dress up in hand made paper hats with tissue flowers on them and then we'd all walk around a pole that we called the May pole. Never did quite understand the meaning of it but it was fun just the same.
