View Full Version : The BB forums are getting sloppy!!!

Here are the problems that I see:
- Stray Posts: Members are posting everywhere and anywhere.
- Highjacked Threads: The threads start on one topic, followed by a member who changes the thread to be about themselves.
- Lost Threads: Threads that start on one topic, then switches to a different topic, then to another topic, etc.
We need to start learning to police ourselves. Nothing's more frustrating than to come on the site to do a search for info, find the thread, then to find out the thread makes no sense.
Please make it a point to keep threads and posts in the appropriate forums. If you respond to a thread/post, make sure it stays on track, otherwise start a new thread.
This thread <a href="http://www.bettyboop.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=296">~*~Baby Boop has arrived!!!~*~</a> is one example of what not to do!!!

Ok ... so is everyone still doing a good job of keeping the threads on track?
This is a friendly reminder to all of us (myself included here) to maintain control over the contents of the threads and stay on the subject matter.

Maybe we should close the older ones to make room for the newer ones with the latest topics?
Does anyone know if the thread can be closed and if so how to do it or is it just an Administrator's option?

If no one responds to a thread then it will drift off to the back and be retired I think....

We suggested that to Mgchan before but I think he likes to keep the old threads around so that new members can see old discussions. He has changed it so that by default, you can only view threads from the last 30 days. It makes the threads much easier to handle, and sort through because sometimes it is a struggle with so many!! xx

We just need to manage the threads more carefully and monitor ourselves better.

What topics are disallowed in the BB Forums?
I want to ask:
1. If anyone thinks thongs are uncomfortable?
Also...
2. He is cheating with the woman upstairs-around the corner.
3. She has 3 kiddies and 3 daddies.
4. Twisted Relationships--Women who have turned to "other women".
If these are not allowed...I apologize and will refrain.

I would say they are inappropriate for here. We have a mix of age groups here. The topics are more appropriate for a site with an adult audience. Sorry!

I have to agree with MGCHAN that these aren't good topics for this particular forum.
