I have never seen Wade before. Is that the manufacturer's name? It must be a European manufacturer because I didn't find them in the current licensee book.

I think I know what you mean about her not looking quite the way we're used to seeing her.

I have to agree! That example of Betty is not very svelt at all! She looks like she needs to go on a little diet, don't you think?
Judging by this example I don't think I'd be interested in any of their figurines....
I agree that they are not as pretty, that's for sure.

And her hair is totally wrong too.... don't you think?

I have the idea..like.. when you are watching a normal movie on a big-screen-tv and you didn't adjust the view. Still the same height, but stretched to the sides. Know what I mean?

I know what you mean Boopsie - I always see wade figurines on ebay, and not one of them has appealed to me. They're really ugly. The danbury mint ones are absolutely stunning! x

Having looked at the picture again, I think the Wade figurine is maybe a little more robust than what we're accustomed too in our Betty Boop figurines but I don't think it is unbecoming to her. She is still a beautiful figurine.

wow! i've never seen that figure before! i think the wade figures aren't detailed enough. they would be much cuter if they had a little more likeness! :)

it's the price that get's me.. you can get a better and cheaper figure that looks more like her and yet people still pay tons of money for them!!

I am not familiar with Wade and it's not listed in my book of licensees for the U.S.

Is it a European company?

lol yup guess dey r just different.
my theory is dat ppl buy them for collectors value, and not because they look like bb. coz they tend to b very collectible
but hu knows?

I'm still curious to know if the Wade figurines are a European licensee?

Does anyone have a Wade figurine and do they know more about the company?
