Hi everyone, I'm a senior in college hoping to write a paper for my popular culture class on none other than Betty Boop. But I'm having a tough time finding information, mostly scholarly writings on the cartoons. I'm trying to focus on the progressive nature of the cartoons and character, notably Betty Boop as a flapper, addressing sexuality, and the jazz features in her cartoons. Also, Betty Boop in a transnational study. But all I have for research so far are the cartoons from the Definitive Collection and a book on the Fleischers. So any leads on good places for information, OR ideas you may have on the progressive nature of the cartoons would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks!

YOU SHOULD GO TO THE HISTORY PART ON THIS SITE OR GO TO THE CHILDRENS SECTION AT THE VIDEO STORE OR ASK WHERE YOU CAN FIND OLD FLEISCHER FILMS
