Hi everyone, I'm a senior in college hoping to write a paper for my popular culture class on none other than Betty Boop. But I'm having a tough time finding information, mostly scholarly writings on the cartoons. I'm trying to focus on the progressive nature of the cartoons and character, notably Betty Boop as a flapper, addressing ******ity, and the jazz features in her cartoons. Also, Betty Boop in a transnational study. But all I have for research so far are the cartoons from the Definitive Collection and a book on the Fleischers. So any leads on good places for information, OR ideas you may have on the progressive nature of the cartoons would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks!
