I don't know if this is the right thread to post it, but here's my poem:


If only my hear was black,
With curls at the front
And at the back
If only my eyes were green,
Of the most beautiful shade
you’ve ever seen
If only my mouth was like cherry
The most delicious red
It’s almost scary
If only I could look as glam in a short dress
Look in the mirror mirror
And say ‘I look good, yes!!!’
I hear a clock strike
It’s three at night.
I open my eyes
And think ’…right…
It was only a dream…

Here is a poem I just made up about Betty. It's not much as it took me only the last 30 minutes to write ( can't you tell lol)
But I didn't even know about the contest till I just looked at this page so I thought it would be fun . I know it's not a real cheery ( I can't spelly the word cheer-eee??) poem or happy but it was fun to write. I haven't even tried writing poetry of any kind in 15 years.

You came to be many years ago
even before I was a lad,
So pretty an so popular
what happened was so sad,

You had it all you sexy wench
and were as daring as could be.
But the censors said this won't do
You can no longer be wild and free.

So they rewrote who you were
and made you what THEY wanted.
Trouble is it wasn't popular
We loved what you flaunted!

So Betty You just faded out,
but not quite; not completely
You'll always live in our hearts
as long as there are still fans, like me!

we love her shes our princess, our idol
the sweeet way she sings "boop oop a doop"
even inspired the likes of marilyn monroe

her cartoons we watch day in day out
to experience her come to life on the screen
wer amazed by her every move and sexy lil pout
nothing this gorgeous has ever been seen

we witness betty emerge from a dog
as we watch her cartoons in black and white
so beautiful and to think she is 70 yrs old?
to still have such an effect doesnt seem rite!

every1 that watched betty fell under her spell
then all came together on the bb website
they all became friends and got on so well
a boop oop a dooping family 4 life!!! :)

Betty looks so fine in her denim jeans

As she climbs on board that mean machine

She heads out on the highway, destination unknown

She’s riding with the wind, boys let her roam

Watch her ride. See her ride.

She’s the queen of the road

Her name is Betty Boop

With black spit curls and eyes so green

Don’t mess with her. You know what I mean?

Betty loves the sound of that engine roar

Riding down the highway her spirits soar.

She’s got Pudgy there in the old side car

But everyone knows that Betty’s the star

Watch her ride. See her ride.

Everyone loves this biker babe

Her name is Betty Boop and she knows the scoop

So get out of her way… boop…boop..a… doop

Ok, here goes!

It's difficult to know, just where to start;
She was the one with a fairly small part!
A dog was how she was first portrayed -
A character some say she should never have played,
For she was clearly the star of the show,
And this is something her makers now know!

From dog to a lady, the transition was smooth,
She was sexy and sophisticated, and managed to prove,
That it didn't matter what she was at the start,
she was always destined for a bigger part!!

What is it exactly that makes us obsess,
About the girl who wears that red dress?
Is it her eyes that glimmer and shine,
Or is it that figure - so curvy and divine....

Or maybe it's what she's done right here.
She's managed to bring everyone so near!
Miles and miles part our forum,
Oceans and seas, time zones, and then some!
But still she's managed to create this space,
where it doesn't matter that I'm in another place
I can still sit and communicate with each individual friend,
Who, hopefully, I might get to meet in the end!

So in conclusion to my babbling rhyme,
I urge everybody to take the time,
to get to know the lady in question -
and maybe even add a suggestion,
on how we can all pull together,
and make sure Ms Boop stays round forever!!

Hey Betty your so dirty,sometimes it makes me wanna get flirty,
Knowing your a minx always makes me think,
how do you squeeze into that tiny pink thing!
Well when I see you riding your bike i always say,
lets go that way,alway the way to betty heaven,
on a harley dressed in tight leather!
Thats right Betty we know you got a rough sexy side,
and im full of pride when i say Betty,
You'd be a sexy wife!!

BTW, Betty is also know as Boopsie-Cola! So in a way this is mega aimedat someone!!
