She was a cartoon (I don't know if she is still being tooned):D But there was a long standing Broadway Musical and later a movie. She was an orphan adoped by a very rich man named Daddy Warbucks. In the cartoon she had curly red hair, blue eyes, freckles and usually wore a red dress with a white Peter Pan collar. White anklets and black patent "Mary Janes" The cartoo drew her eyes like this oo vacant with no pupils. Believe me BB has it all over her;)

Hi Coffeesonme

Candy is a orphan girl who was brought up in a orphan institute and the cartoons are about her life as a child , young girl etc...
Most of the times she resolves her life problems but the cartoons are well drawn and she has wonderfull adventures .

Could you tell me what chineille is because I didn't find it in the dictionnary thanks !

I think that, that's the way one spells it. Chinielle is a man made fabric or you can get it as a yarn. Very soft and almost velvet like. Many are making sweaters and hats out of the yarn. When it is a fabric you can make clothing out of it, bathrobes probably anything one would want very soft. It is delicate though, so it takes some caution in cleaning. I know that the yarn freys easily. I thought if I could get a pattern I'd try and make Bettys white dog out of the fabric to go with the doll of Betty.:D If I'm to far off the mark, anyone, let me know. I just know of the Chinielle I have worked with.:)

Ok I know what it is, it's called shaved velvet in french !!!!!! that's a real good idea, I think it's the ideal material to make our idols with !!!!!!!

Yes, that's it! I actually like the French name for it, Shaved Velvet. It explains it a little better. Now to find a cute puppy pattern. I would probably have to tweek it a little to get it to turn out looking like Betty's white puppy. I have a pair of PJ's that have hearts all over them with Betty and both the white puppy and the balck and white doggy on them. This is sooooo fun,:D

perhaps you could find some free patterns to print on sites that talk about sawing or cross stiches or patchwork . Btw do you like patchwork ? i'm fond of it I did lots of quilts at a time but now I have my baby girl I put it away for a while cos' I have not enough time !

I haven't done it in a long time,(patchwork) but that's a cute idea. I use to do patchwork when my babies were little. My oldest (my boy) is 30 and my youngest(my girl) will be 27 this year. What is your little girls name? My children's names are Keith and Kerri. True Scottish/Irish names. I have 5 grand babies. 4 boys and one tiny girl.
My daughter did not take after me with my love for Betty, rather she still likes Hello Kitty? Do they have that character there?
Pudgy! I couldn't remember that name. That is Betty's white puppy's name, right? Do you know her other dogs name?:D

Nice to hear you again
My little girl's name is Stella, the tallest (15) is Maïlys, the 2sd (13) is Laura and the 3rd (7) is Roxane .
The other dog's name (her boyfriend) is Bimbo .

At the moment we have a few worries with Maïlys cos' she would do everything except working at school !!!!!!!! and she is very unrespectuous towards us I know her age is linked with her behaviour but there are limits no ?!!!!!!!!
they all think i'm a bit mad to like BB so much, they say it's not a passion but an obsession !!!!!! I agree for that!!!!!!!!

Ah, yes! The teenage years. My Uncle use to teach high school. He always said it would be a good idea if all teenagers could be shipped to the moon and then come back when they are 35:cool:
I think along about 30 years old your children begin to realize that their parents aren't as dumb as the child thinks they were.:D
But then come Grandchildren and then you know that all the trials were worth the wait.
Another beautiful day today. I went to the second hand stor but found no Bett's, but I won't give up the hunt. Be Happy!:D
