hie everybody
i was trying to catch up all the threads i missed and i fell on the abreviations section!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was about ok for me till i met with tongue in cheek!!!! does that mean you can't answer a question ? or something like that ?
hope you'll answer me otherwise MG will have to create a special translating section for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P

Tongue in cheek sort of means sarcastic. If you say something sarcastically, you are said to say it 'tongue in cheek'. I'm trying to think of a good example cos this isn't easy to explain!

Ok - so you're watching a comedy scene on tv - it's a parody of something else - or it is making fun of something or someone - it would be done 'tongue in cheek'.

Does that make any sense at all??! - Someone help me out here! haha! x

Ok I thought of one......'Scary Movie' is a parody of all the different horror films. It is making fun of them in a 'tongue in cheek' way!
