I've read thet the code Hays in USA obliged BB to wear longer dresses for example did it have any other impact on any other things ? Did it concerns only cartoons or did it concerns people behaviour as well ?

I'm not sure if it affected Betty any other way than her dress, but with actors, you couldn't kiss longer than three seconds, two people couldn't be in bed together(one foot on the floor rule) and tamer language.

Many believed the change to Betty was due to the Hays code. In fact, the change was done as an effort to modernize and update Betty's appearance!

well i hope this helps, im just copying it out of the lil booklet i got with the definitive collection
"but as Hays office gained more influence over the "moral" content of filmed entertainment, a more prime betty emerged. by 1934, betty was showing far less leg and minimal cleavage. the lecherous suitors and racier situations vanished as well, leaving the lovable grampy and her cute pet pooch pudgy to propel the storylines.."
this kinda contradicts wat mgchan sed about betty just having her style updated and made more modern... mg wat u think?
besss ;)

Many of the information out in the public on Betty Boop is not always correct, even if it's printed! :D
