I wanted to let you know I received the items you sent. Thank You!!! :) My daughter goes around all day with the hat on and took it to school for show and tell day :) She tells everyone she's a Betty Boop fan too. She has seen most of the Betty Boop cartoons. Whenever I watch one she's right there and asking for more. AS new Betty Boop Fan!! We can always use more. If this forum is still active ( hopefully) when she turns 13 I'll tell her she can join. Thank you again mgchan :D

All has been really busy. not much time to see the puter. I also was attempting to play a game which kept crashing my computer so I gave up for now. For a house husband I have little or no time sometimes :( but thank you for the holler and the concern. It makes a person feel wanted :)

It sounds like you're keeping yourself busy taking care of your daughter. You have just one?

I hate it when my computer crashes... it does that when it rains sometimes.... I think the rain affects the buried telephone cables.... who knows?

Well I'm certainly glad to hear you are doing well and glad you came back to check in with us. Don't be a stranger. Take care!

No I have 2 at home. A 15 year old who is my pride and Joy . ( My stepdaughter but we're real close) and my devil child 8 year old. lol I treat them the same ( age differences being the major difference) and love them both to death . I also have 2 adult children 24 daughter and 27 old son . and a 4 year old Grandaughter. but I definatly have my hands full with the 8 year old. Both she and her teenage sister are honor roll students but their personalities are the opposite. The older is an angel ( rare for a teenager and gives me little or no trouble. my youngest is hellspawn and brimstone. But I wouldn't want either any other way :)

Sounds just like my sister and I... drove our parents nuts... of course I was the angel child and she was and still is the devil child... ha ha!!!

I'm glad you are close to your children and a grandpa too!! That's great news!! I'm also pleased to hear they are honor students. A good education is so important. It really sounds like you are doing a great job... so keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Yes I was, I won a belly button ring, 2 shirts, a hat and a mug :)
I'm very happy :) Yes It is great that my kids work at school, and usually apply that knowledge at home showing that they have learned something ,would be expected ,and is realized with my teenager but NOT my 8 year old. She is a little terror that you wouldn't think could get grades like she does. But I love her just the same :)

I try, when she gets older I'll attempt to be her friend also. I have that with all my kids. I'm a friend when needed or wanted but a dad when the need arises. It forms a trust that few teenagers have with their kids. I NEVER let the two conflict. I give friendly advice but will not punnish or rebuke when in friend mode. I've got some really good kids who know where it's at concerning drugs, booze and ***. I've been real lucky and God Blessed :)

*wipes tears from eye* you are too good for your own right Aminal! :) what a saint! i have a magnet that i gave to my dad that would suit you! it said
' there is no better friend in the world than a dad, and no dad quite like you!'

i'm sure your daughter's would agree with me :D

thank you, I think they would. I've got a 27 year old son and 24 year old daughter. Whether they are at work or play they are never afraid to say I love you over the phone to me . If I put out my arms for a hug it doesn't matter where they are or who they're with I still get a hug and kiss. That also goes for my teenager and 8 year old. I'm proud of my kids and love them to death. My only worry is that soon they will all be grown :( I've been a full time dad for 27 years and will be for 10 more years ( maybe longer) but after that I don't know what I'll do. I like being a full time dad and I don't know what I'll do when I'm not anymore :(

I never want to be a burden to my children under any circumstances. I's rather be in a home then put any of them out even in the slightest. It's just who and what I am :)

far from it which is probably why my kids love me so much. I admit I make mistakes and have faults. and whenever possible try to make changes in my lifestyle and/or how I think of things to better myself :)

Well I gotta get off for now. I have a splitting headache. Thanks to a driver Saturday who rearended me going 50 mph ( about 65 kph) I've got a concussion ( despite using my seatbelt) and I was told for the next couple weeks to limit my computer time because of the monitor flicker. I'll be on tomorrow. :)

I agree Bupadup.. when my dad was diagnosed with cancer, neither my sis or I hesitated to bring him into our home. He stayed with her for a few months and then came to stay with me for the last 4 mos of his life and I wouldn't trade one second of it!!
