I'm surprised to hear that there aren't many Betty Boop items in Hawaii. I thought there would be.

I just saw some brand new Betty Boop Hawaiian themed items that will be introduced by Character Collectibles this spring. She is on a surfboard and in a grass skirt... bobbers, figurines and photo frames. They will be great additions to any collection.

Speaking of computers.... have you seen the Betty Boop sitting figurine that fits perfectly on your computer monitor screen? It is really cute and she makes me smile!!! I love having one on my monitor.

Well no there really isn't much I need to look in Hilo. A coworker of mine saw a betty tounge ring and is getting it for me she said she saw a bunch of things at this store in Hilo (spencers) and thought of me. :D No i have not seen the sitting figurine where can i get it? :D

I've heard that Spencers has quite a few of the Betty Boop jewelery items. Do they have any collectibles like figurines?

The Sitting Betty Boop figurine is made by Vandor (Part #10053) They only made 4,800 of these... so it's a limited edition item.

It's called a shelf sitter and/or computer monitor figurine.

I've seen it available on eBay or you can probably find it at one of the online shops. We have it in stock.

Here's a picture of it

I love it!:D where can I get? You said you have it in stock, where is that and how can I get? How much is it from you? Well the spencers in Maui had a whole wall with blankets clothes and all sorts of things betty. I've only been in this one once for a breif time and didn't see any thing but only glanced around. I did get a doll at suncoast she has a stand but I'm not taking it out of the box.

Boopadelic? ha ha.........

Oh I know where Queen Creek is ... that's down near Phoenix.. I'm up north about 125 miles north of Phoenix and 80 miles south of Flagstaff.... near Prescott.

I am 53 3/4 years old and I have a son that is 33.

I'm old enough to be everyone's mother and in some cases their grandmother on this forum.

But it's ok, I'm getting used to being the "oldie but goodie".. ha ha

I agree with Jenny, I think it's awsome that your love for bb has stayed strong, I can keep my love for her going, knowing that as i get older it will still be cool for me to love her, and not kidish as my husband would put it.

Thank you bikerbetty!!!!!!! :D

I'm very glad i found this site now i don't feel silly or like I'm the only that loves my girl Betty!!!!!! :D

Thanks everyone for the really nice remarks. I appreciate it. I'm trying to stay hip and not get too old too fast but there's no denying that we're all going to get a little older someday.

But you are both right that Betty Boop helps us to stay young and happy because she is just so much fun! Everything about her makes her fit the times! No matter whether it was the 1930's through the 1990's to now! She is just with it!

And I love that she appeals to so many people in all walks of life and all ages. Betty Boop, probably more so than any other figure that I can think of, epitomizes what being a happy woman is all about. It's her attitude!!!

And since I am surrounded by her here in my office and at home and in my car and in my dress and in my lifestyle.. Betty Boop and my family and my friends and having God's blessings in my life, help make me a very happy camper!

And it's so nice to count so many people here on the forum among my friends. Young or old.. it doesn't matter. I really like everyone here very much. It's a fun place to visit and a great club to belong to!!

It's a Betty Boop Members Only kind of place!

"Clapping"

You said it bikerbetty.

I feel great now, you know i never even knew why excactly i liked her i just know i always have, and you've hit the nail on the head. I tell everyone that ask me why i like her, and i just say she's cool, and beautiful, and yes she is what a woman is and she's happy! :D

Thank you ALL!

Thanks for agreeing with me.

When I first decided to start this business, I remember my dad's advice. "Any business should be something you are passionate about regardless of what it is!"

And that's why selling Betty Boop licensed merchandise made logical sense!! So that's what I've been doing since 1998 and I haven't regretted it one bit. And so you can imagine how thrilled I was when MGCHAN contacted me in Feb. 2003 and told me about this new forum idea. I think it's been a huge success!

That is very cool BikerBetty you have A career that you love, not alot of people can say that. I have been kind of thinking about maybe sometime down the road of having my own cake decorating buisiness out of my home, but I'm not quite sure.:D Oh by the way your father is right, about what he said.

Jenny I just asked you a similar question in another thread.

I think you could do well at it.. would it be difficult to get permits and is there health dept. requirements?

Didn't Mrs. Fields start her cookie business from home? I know a lot of businesses get started at home.

JennyBoop
03-06-2004, 07:30 PM
:D Actually I do think Mrs. Fields did start from out of her home. Hey everyone has to start from somewhere.:D Yea I would think i would have to get permits and there is the health department, I'll have to do some investigating.;)

Hi Melissa.. yes we stil have the shelf sitters.

I don't know about anyone else's business but ours is fine.. thanks for asking.

Lil74 what kind of icon are you looking for?

I know that Spencers sells really cute Betty Boop products. We don't have one here.. our town is too small. You are lucky if you have one near you. Do they mostly sell jewelry?

boopcrazy
05-21-2004, 03:14 PM
no spencers sells what i guess u could call novoltiy items, the spencers on maui was my fav cause they had a section on the wall that had all sorts of different betty things i just loved it, they had blankets shirts, ect.... all sorts of different things.......the one here on the big island doesn't have any betty things tho, but i did get a doll at one of the movie stores in the mall.

Bikerbettyboop
05-21-2004, 04:54 PM
It's been several years since I visited a Spencer's and that was in Las Vegas. It only had jewelry... sounds like they've added more items in addition to the jewelry. That's cool.

boopcrazy
05-26-2004, 04:47 PM
yeah spencers is cool, alot of adult stuff to tho like games, cards, and different things, they keep those in the back of the store, which is good. they really do it up on halloween, my kids hate even goin past it then.

Bikerbettyboop
06-02-2004, 03:03 PM
Hi Mel... I've heard from a few people that it's difficult to find Betty Boop items in Australia.... I wish there were more shops available for you because shipping is so expensive and seems to take forever for packages to arrive!!

Melissa Jones
06-18-2004, 03:53 AM
yeah but they do get here ;)

I certainly wish there were more places that sold genuine BB items here. But look at it this way if we did then i probably would not be searching on the net, hence finding this site, thus finding your store.........

Hi was wondering if one of you lovely people would be able to helpme in my quest?
I am trying to get hold of a Betty Boop slot machine-

http://i14.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/77/38/9f_1_b.JPG

I have tried trawling thru the internet but most suppliers don't
seem to want to ship to the uk any help would be appreciated.

Bikerbettyboop
09-23-2004, 05:04 PM
There aren't too many sellers here in the U.S. who are willing to ship international because of the extra work involved.

In this case, a slot machine may be too large of an item to be shipped via the postal service anyway. I know they do have size restrictions, which means another form of shipping would have to be used and that may not be very cost efficient in the end.
