Hello everyone or should I say Bonjour
I live in France in a town called Besancon (east of france) near Switzland . No flowers for the moment, but the cold, the frost and snow ! With the sun however !
I am really happy to have found this site I am also hooked (we say mordue in French) to BB since I was 15 but really started to collect items and stuffs about her for about a year now . I will be 40 next june but I think there is no age limit to live one's passion it seems that you never get old . I have 4 daughtrs from 7 months old to 15 years old they all say I'm mad but each of them come from time to time to have a look at my collection ! Everybody, enjoy your passion and I think we are very lucky to have a site like this one . I hope to learn a lot about BB and all of you

I know what you mean about not having enough time to do all the things we need to do and also take time to enjoy the fun things along the way. But we must take time to stop and smell the roses (as we say here in America) and that includes chatting with new Betty Boop friends.

I've never been to France, but I'd like to go there sometime, maybe for my honeymoon...someday. The snow is melting here too, but I think more snow is on the way.

Hi Valerie,
So far the visitors to this page are from Dayton, Ohio and I'm from Paulden, Arizona. Have you heard of the Grand Canyon? I am not too far from there. It is very awesome. I live in the country and we still have cowboys riding on horses rounding up cattle here. It is like living in the old west! Did you ever see any cowboy and Indian movies? We have Yavapai and Apache Indians here too. It is interesting. Very, very different from Dayton, Ohio. (However, I was born in a small town near Dayton, Ohio!) Small world huh?

I feel the same about chatting with someone from France! It's a pleasure to talk with you and learn more about your country too.
Arizona is a very unusual state. We have glorious canyons, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, lots of valleys and plains, and of course you probably know about the deserts and cactus plants and rattle snakes we have here too! You can also find mountains with snow on them most of the year. The Colorado River runs between our state and California and Nevada. We have lots of open range for cattle ranchers.
We are quite old fashioned here and much of Arizona (except for the two big towns Phoenix and Tucson) are still very similar to what they were 100 years ago. We are the last state to have joined the Union (except for Hawaii and Alaska).... but the last continental state to become part of the United States... not even 100 years ago.
We still see cowboys on horseback and you can even see them carrying guns in their holsters (so they can shoot snakes!) The cattle ranchers still brand their horses and cattle too.
I was born in Ohio but my parents moved to So. California when I was 4 years old and I grew up by the beach from the 1950's to the 1970's. Back then California had lots of orange groves. Now it is mostly highways and big cities! And millions and millions of people.
The United States has been a wonderful place for me to be born and live all my life. I am grateful to be an American. Please pray for our country as we may be entering into this war with IRAQ.
Thank you!!! God bless you and your family.

I'm not really good at geography but I learnt a lot through songs (beatles) : Sweet Loretta thought........ in Tucson Arizona ...etc...
when you talk about cowboys etc I think of Camargue in south of France when you can see Guardians looking after their cows riding horses as well and pink floids (big pink birds) and white horses and...... hudge amount of mosquitos ..... (that's the bad side) I've been there when I was young during Easter holidays and though it was boring with my parents, iremember this place as a very nice place . Every year there's a great feast gathering all people living in mobile home and playing guitar we call them people of the trip because they never have a fix place to live . Most of them read the futur in your hands etc...... they all go in Camargue in a place called Sainte Marie de la mer .
We don't know where we are going with the war project but I don't think I would be concerned one day with this problem, It's not our favorite subject but i'm not sure lots of people realise this might be a very serious problem, I mean, people will realise really if it happens really and it will be too late then !!!!!!!
Well it's again a nice day today so we hope this project will go away as the bad weather does and that will be solved in a good way soon !

Hi Jenn, Are you still getting snow there in DC? Looks cold from what I've seen on the news. We're warm and sunny here in Arizona. My flowering plum tree is loaded with fragrant pink blossoms.. it's beautiful!! I already hung my Betty Boop banner to celebrate and early spring here!

If you hunt for ghosts in Edinburgh castle, you'll be disappointed. Most of Edinburgh's ghosts are in the vaults under the city. A ghost tour of Edinburgh is vey interesting.
If you want a ghostly castle, try Glamis Castle. Check out http://www.castleofspirits.com/glamis2.html
BTW, I'm from East Kilbride, near Glasgow, Scotland.
