I guess I'm the underdog here but John Revolta killed his image for me in Saturday Night Fever. I didn't mind him so much till then. But I guess his newer movies are pretty good because it looks like he's actually learned to act! ")
And I have to grudgingly ( spelled wrong) admit that the Look Who's Talking movies are some of my favorites.

No your right John Travolta did do some bad acting in Saturday Night Fever. Yea he has gotten better, I liked him in Micheal and Phenominon and Face Off was A good one also. I like Grease because I like Olivia Newton John, I loved her music back in the 70's and 80's.:D

I know exactly what you mean. Where I live here in Arizona, there are 2 television stations that are Spanish and they show movies and tv shows that have Spanish dubbed over them and you're right... it's strange to watch the actors speaking.
I always thought the Japanese movies were hilarious for the same thing because the language just didn't fit the facial and mouth movements.
I hope this doesn't sound discriminating because that's not what I'm trying to say... and hopefully you know what I mean.

My mum went to see it last week and said it was just so powerful and made you realise what the christian faith was all about.
People are saying it's too gory and that there's no need for it - but do they think that the torture that he suffered was any less gory than as protrayed in this film? They seem to forget that he carried that cross all that way - and took all of that beating - and finally, this film is showing us a realistic illustration of just how much that man suffered. If you don't like gore and violence, then don't go to see a film about a crucifiction, it's as simple as that!
I'm sorry - I sound like I'm on my soap box, but I just feel that people are always so quick to fault something that little bit different!
Thats all! :P

You must check out the movie School of Rock starring Jack Black.
Dewey Farris ( Jack Black ) plays a rock n roller who is voted out of his band. He must come up with some rent money so he ends up at a private school. Instead of teaching the three r's he teaches the kids how be rock n rollers.
Joan Cusack is great as the schools headmaster and all the kids are great.
Jack Back is a musician in real life too as a member of the band Tenacious D. I have seen this band perform on Letterman and they have toured as opening act for the Foo Fighters as well.

Hi There;
When I first saw a post referring to the movie "Infidelity" I was thinking the movie featuring Diane Ladd and Richard Gere.
This was not the same movie ( Their movie is "Unfaithful" )
I saw Kim Delaney on Craig Kilborn the other night plugging "Infidelity" it looks like it might be good.
You will remember Kim Delaney from NYPD Blue. She was also on the short lived series Philly ( her ex husband on the show was played by Kyle Secor who will also appear in Infidelity. )
I first saw Kim Delaney on the Soap Opera "All My Children" as Jenny Gardner.
Lifetime will broadcast the movie at 8 PM (Eastern time ) on Monday the 19th and repeat it again at 10 PM ( Back to Back )

I know you Johnny Depp fans will love this one.
It is quite a contrast between his wardrobe for Pirates of the Carribean. Johnny Depp plays Gene Watson... an accountant.
Johnny and his young daughter arrive at the Train Station in Los Angeles. They are grabbed up by Christopher Walken. ( He always makes a great bad guy. )
He is handed a gun and given an ultimatim. Kill the California of Governor ( no ... not Arnold. the Governor is Eleanor Grant played by Marsha Mason. ) or his daughter will be killed.
Johnny tries to alert the authorities but quite a few of them are in on this conspiricy. He is given all the security clearances so that he has unlimited access to the governor.
The movie plays out in real time ( this was long before the tv show 24 )

I am anxious to see the movie "Troy" which will be in theatres on May 14th.
It is a Wolfgang Petersen film. ( His past movies include The Perfect Storm, Air Force One, Outbreak, In the Line of Fire and Das Boot )
The cast includes Brad Pitt as Achilles, Eric Bana as Hector of Troy (He is from Austrailia. You may have seen him in Black Hawk Down or The Incredible Hulk ) , Orlando Bloom as Prince Paris of Troy. German Actress Diane Kruger will star as Helen of Troy, this is her break through role as she has not been in any movie that I have heard of.

I saw the movie Uptown Girls and it was great.
It features Brittany Murphy as Molly ( She was great as Drew Barrymore's best friend in "Riding in Cars with Boys" She was Michael Douglas's patient in "Don't Say a Word" She uttered the catch phrase "I'll Never Tell" She also starred with Eminem in 8 Mile and with Ashton Kutcher in Just Married. I did not see these last two movies yet. She was romantically linked with Ashton Kutcher until he moved on to Demi Moore. )
My favorite little actress Dakota Fanning plays Ray. She was great in "I am Sam" where she appeared as Sean Penn's Daughter. I did not see her yet in Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers or Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.
Dakota plays a spoiled brat who has to keep changing Nanny's because nobody can put up with her. Brittany Murphy is also a rich kid who is forced to ( gasp ! ) get a job. These two are great together.
Marley Shelton is great as Molly's best friend and Heather Locklear is great as Ray's mom.

I went to see '50 first dates' at the weekend, with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler in it. It's such a cute film! I love Drew Barrymore anyway I think she's so lovely in everything she does. It was very funny in some parts - I'd reccommend the film! xx

Hi There;
I saw Altered States movie back in 1980 when it came out. It was a strange one. I did not realise that it was Drew Barrymore's film debut.
I was impressed with Blair Brown. I saw her again tonight in a special appearance on ER.

I've seen it! I liked it, although we went to the wrong language... We went to see it in Dutch by accident, and that sounds and looks horrible! But I did enjoy myself.
We went to Van Helsing last weekend. If you like hectic movies, you should see it. Some of the special effects look nice, but most them are crap. I did like it though, but that was because Hugh Jackman was a yummy Van Helsing!

Hi There;
Johnny Depp based his mannerisms and speech patterns for the movie Pirates of the Carribean on Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. He did not understand when he got nominated for an Oscar saying that he was not acting, He was just copying Keith.
I hear that Johnny Depp is trying to recruit Keith to appear in the sequel. Keith would play Johnny's dad.

BikerB...you said...
"If you like cowboys and cattle... then this is a good one to watch."

Cows, horses and cowboys were the lick (IMO) when Clint Eastwood was at his highest peak in films.

I understand that the movie "Open Range" didn't get real high reviews but if you liked the Clint Eastwood movies and especially his movie "Unforgiven" then you should really like this one.
We enjoyed it... it was kind of long... over 2 hours.. but we liked it... and it has some action too .. if you like cowboy shootem ups!!
But the scenery reminded us of where we live... and we're right in the middle of cattle country here in Arizona... and I've had some ongoing issues with the cattle ranchers about the old open range laws.... some of them forget that this is 2004 and not the 1800's!!

I liked it the first time I watched it but the second was even better cause I was not so confused.
Gothika was ok in my eyes ,the plot sticked but was a worth while movie to rent but not at the theater. I watched it at home and spent 4 bucks on it rather than 9 bucks. That way the whole family of age can watch. Take care hope I have not blabbed to much. TEHEH that is just me, ask my hubby any day!!

I fell asleep on GOTHIKA...but husby says it was good!
Feedback anyone??
have you seen what lies beneath, and stir of echoes? If you did, you haven't missed anything. Gothica is a crossing of those two movies. Well, that's what I think anyway...

Yes, she has her own reality tv show on E! and she just lost a ton of weight! Yes she is the one who married the 88 year old billionaire and she got a lot of his money in spite of his sons legal actions against her.

Me too!! I've loved him in everything... and he's just a nice all around guy and has a good personality and a good family man and a great citizen for our country too. You know he was instrumental in getting the WW2 Memorial built in Washington DC?
I loved him in Toy Story!! And the movie where he was stranded on the island.. I forgot the name of it.

Hehehe. I figured Garfield was a, "wait till it comes to the video store type movie".
BUT!! The kiddies get all huffed about some of the "worst movies". I've been there...done that. (hehehe) Speaking from experience here!! If you just want to get out of the house with the kiddies...HEAD TO THE MOVIES.
