Betty Boop On Cartoon Network ?

Hello everybody. I want you people to log on to Cartoon Network's website and encourage them to bring Betty Boop to the program list. If they can have Popeye every Sunday they can give us our Boop-Oop-A-Doop Girl. Please feel free to express your thoughts on this.

I think they should show her cartoon's on tv, let the kid's see what A real cartoon is like. Alot of the cartoon's on tv are almost frightening to me.

Many of the cartoons today are just horrible! Characters making 'gas' sounds, speaking slang and calling each other awful names. I'm always monitoring what my 7 year-old daughter watches.

Cartoon Network used to show the Betty Boops on a program called "Late Night Black and White" Sadly, it hasn't been on in a while. Betty Boop would indeed be a great companion piece to the Popeye program. Animation historian Jerry Beck http://www.cartoonresearch.com/
is one of the consultants on CN's Popeye show and he's also credited on the Betty Boop Definitive Collection videocassettes.
I think a combined Betty Boop and Popeye Show would also be a good idea as they both were created by the same Fleischer Bros. studio.

I remeber staying up all Sunday night, during the Black and White hour, to see maybe 1 or 2 Betty cartoons on Cartoon Network. It was pretty bad and then they just stopped showing Betty. The AMC network, also, used to air Betty Boop. I hope Cartoon Network does begin to show Betty Boop again and at a reasonable hour.

I think BettyBoop would be perfect for Boomern ( a division of Cartoon Network) AS it fits in with what they show.

i know what you mean!! have you seen 'the Amanda show' on Nickalodeon??? it's terrible!! it's disgusting and i can't stand it!!!

HAH yah the Amanda Show. What is that all about? And HIllary Duff is really starting to get on my nerves! Shes all like "OH im so popular and pretty but I can't act but thats OK because im pretty and popular" Grr she makes me angry and she can;t sing! GAH oh little kid shows are stupid and teach kids to stick plastic beads up their noses... (yes a little kid of 4 years old had to go the emergency room becasue she shoved a bead up her nose!!) :(

Ah I miss the rubbish that they play on Nickleodeon! I used to watch it all when I was living at home! But that was when they used to have Sister Sister, and Sabrina the teenage witch and Moesha! Do they still play those shows? I know they still play Sabrina - I heard that it's finished filming now and that she rode off with Harvey on a motorbike! Yay Harvey - he was always better for her than Josh! Haha! Awww how I miss them all! ;) x

Did anyone ever watch live&kicking at the bbc? I loved that show! They had great series there!
Sabrina is on Nicklodeon here, I love it. Also watched quite some Moeshaa few years ago.

I used to watch live & kicking! :P we had 2 little leprachauns on it over here! lol!! i love sabrina too!! girls in love (you seen that) is my fav though :) my mum says im jusy like ellie allard.

I know! I loved zoe and jamie, and I was sooo sad when they left the show... It was never the same without them, but it ws still a nice show... I was watching cbbc on a saturday a few weeks ago, and I noticed the saturday morning has changed so much. I even wished Zoe and Jamie back...

I don't watch Nickalodeon so I haven't seen that show but so many of the cartoons that I have happened to see are just not that good at all.

It's really too bad that there weren't enough of us Betty Boop lovers around. I'd love to get a petition going that would ask the cartoon network, fox or some television studio to please bring betty back. I think the cartoon network could bring it on at night or on the adults section they have on after 11:00 pm

I think it has to start with King Features and Hearst.. not the networks because Fleischer Studios or someone has to produce the cartoons first... unless they re-released the old versions... now there's an idea for you.
