I've run across 2 crooks so far but thankfully it wasn't for very expensive items. Both of them have since been banned from Ebay but it's a terrible experience. 1 cause you've been duped ( robbed) and 2 that you really wanted that product or whatever and got a good price only to find out you've been had and have to start again from scratch ( and usually pay more). But Ebay in General is addicitive and fun. I'm thinking of selling out some of our antiques on Ebay. especially that piano that takes up all the room in our parlor :)
Thank you again for all the support and help :)

Hey Aminal it's nice to know that your name is Ed!!! Like the famous Mr. Ed!! Cool name!!!
I try to caution eBayer's to use care when buying from new sellers. I hate it when I hear about people being burned on their eBay purchases... it isn't fair.
A word to the wise is to read feedbacks and especially the recently posted feedbacks.

I used to watch that show all the time when I was young ( Mr. Ed) you live and learn on Ebay. I'm just thankful that they weren't expensive items. The worst part is that one of them had a positive feedback of over 100 with 10 negatives then along with mine 12 negatives in a row that's when they were booted and the other one had a positive of 10 with no negatives but their e-mail, phone was disconnected and they ended up fleecing 5 other people besides myself. 2 of them lost hundreds. I got the info by writing to the others who like me had left negative feedback before the bad sellers were removed and banned.

Gosh I'm sure sorry to hear about your bad experience Aminal on eBay... there are so many good eBay sellers but it only takes a few bad ones to make it difficult to trust any eBay seller again.
I also had a bad experience. I bought 3 t-shirts from someone back in November and I paid for them right away and I still haven't gotten the shirts or a refund! It is so aggravating! And I don't know what recourse we have? Sometimes eBay isn't a very fun place to shop at!

first thing to do is try and contact the seller by e-mail. if the address is no longer valid then try getting the personal information ( phone number) . you are allowed because you are a buyer. They may have misplaced something or something may have come up. maybe even a mail problem but try these two first. if all else fails ( these other two) then contact Ebay and file a fraud complaint. This will cause and get an investigation going and you may even get some of your money back if it was a fraud. You can recover if the purchase price is over $25.00. That's how I did it. I had a few other problems but doing the e-mail helped a couple times and calling has also helped. I hope this will help you. :)

Thanks for the info... I appreciate it... I've been buying and selling on eBay for years... since 1997 as a matter of fact and for the most part have had very good experiences with it.

Thanks for leaving this information Animal.
I've just recently become an ebay addic - the possibilities are endless. All the buyers have been great. except one just this week.
I found a Danbury Doll Holland custume (my b/friend is Dutch) the shipping said WORLDWIDE. so i put in the bid & yahooo i won. I paid straight away paypal.
then the next day i got an email from the seller that they were refunding my monies as it was US shipping only. I replied with an email.. but as yet have not heard back or received my money back.
i dont know if ring them would be the way to go as i dont know the time difference and it'll probably cost more in the call.
any advise????

Hi 10eke,
Not exactly sure from where his family are from in the South somewhere i think but am finding out. He was born in Holland and moved to Aust with his parents and Brother in 1979 (he was 8). the family name is van ECK but I dont think that will help propably as common as "Jones" is here.

hi there,
Olaf is from De Meern and after some "surfing" i've found that it is in Utrecht which by the look of the maps is in the middle of the Netherlands.
He speaks Dutch with his parents. But i'm slow on learning and hardley know anything.
where are you from? and i'll look that up.

Valkenswaard, it's really in the South of holland, only a few km away from Belgium. It's near Eindhoven, that's a big city.

From the pictures I've seen of both Holland and Australia, they are both beautiful countries!! Quite different but both very beautiful!!!
We had a great time on our trip to Laughlin but I didn't find any new Betty Boop items that I don't already have... so I didn't buy a thing.
