I mean :i bought a BB figurine in a blue boat with a number on it . I bought it becauuse i liked it and not because of there are only 2500 items in the world ! But I heard that numeroted items are more precious than items which are not numeroted . Is it clearer it is sometimes hard to express onself in another language especially in writing

This is much better.

In general, anything that is limited and numbered has more value than one that is not limited and numbered. Of course it also depends on what the limited number is. For example, something that is limited to 2,000, is more valuable than one limited to 200,000!

Thank you for answering if I well understood limited items have better value than unlimited even if they don't look as nice as ulimited ! I also think that the value of an item comes from the way you found it or the "flash" you had when you saw it for the first time

Actually an item may be priceless to the owner, regardless of whether it's numbered, limited or unlimited! :D

you are right that limited edition collectibles are more valuable... but actually all the Betty Boop items that are made eventually become collectibles as the manufacturers discontinue items and come out with new ones.... so just about everything becomes a collectible. It is also a good idea to keep the original boxes and packaging that the item came in because that also will add to the value later on.

My husband teases me that he had to build an attic for me just to keep all my empty Betty Boop boxes in. He knows not to throw any of them away!!

I'm so glad that my husband likes Betty Boop almost as much as I do..... it's a good thing because he sees her as much as he sees me... since we have so many Betty Boop items in our kitchen, bathroom and all over the house!! He also wears shirts and caps with her on them. Lots of people tell him that they like Betty Boop too!! There are many men who are fans too.

Hey You!:D I thought this coffeeshop was a good place to catch you;) I wanted to tell you how beautiful that betty Boop sweater is that you have on in the parent forum. I make/ design my own sweaters so I'm thinking about doing a Betty Boop one. Is the one you have on in the picture, shaved velvet? ;)

Valerie

my jumper is not shaved velvet, my brother in law took that picture especailly because he loved my jumper (thanks for me!:( :( :( ;) ) and i din't remember i had it on when i sent the photo it was then a nice coincidence ; the jumperis made of wool (knitting) i bought it / price in that little shop i usually go in Besancon called Soho, i think i've already told you about this shop and how they so friendly there, it's not always the same for amm shop sellers, i just wonder sometimes if they reammy want to sell their stuffs or keep them for themselves (one must stay positive!    :P )

So that is what you call it?:D Like a cover all that goes over other clothes? In America a jumper is a one piece top and bottom attached together and buttons up the front or zips:D
I think I would find it very hard to work at that shop. I would be broke buying up all the betty boop stuff:rolleyes: But if the owners are Betty Boop fans, chances are you have a real good selection:cool: Catch you on the forum;)

in fact in france we call it "un pull" i thought jumper was the english word for it ! you're right i just turn mad when i go in Soho shop !

:D That word may be used also. I know that sometimes jumper is used for military clothing, like the word smock  Be Americans have so many different words for the same thing. I knew a lady that spoke 5 languages and she said of all those English was the hardest for her because of that very reason.:D Do you have a different word for sweater? Or are your "sweaters" over shirts?;) To me this is interesting, catch you later;)

:D Yes, I'll do that. It may take me awhile as I'll have to get betty's face on a graft first and then my yarn, but that's not impossible, my husband is an artist:D He loves that I love Betty. I'm thinking about doing a Betty from the idea I have about a Tatoo. This could really be fun;) Catch you later.

That sounds good. I have images of Betty either embroidered or screen printed on just about every item of clothing that I own. I'm a walking Betty Boop billboard!

Have you seen any of the t-shirts and jackets with Betty Boop on them?

I have a black BB leather bomber jacket...which is the absolute pride and joy of my entire collection! Very pricy, but in my opinion, all the more worth it!

I feel like my BB jacket and I almost have a connection...as strange as that sounds. I even call it "Betty"! But hey, you might feel the same way after choosing to wear the same jacket above all your others for 5 years and counting!!! I will NEVER stop wearing it!!!!! BWA HA HA HA HAAAA!!!!!

Sorry...had to lose it for a minute LOL ;) Have a good one Boopers! :D

I also have some leather Betty Boop jackets. My favorite is the Biker Betty Boop bomber style jacket. It's leather with applique patches. Yes, they are expensive but really nice.
