:D Hello I was wondering has anybody seen any good movies latley?? Me I like all kinds of movies Comedy, drama, action, I love the classic movies of 1940's-1950's. The last really good movie I seen was UNDERWORLD about vampires and warewolves it's really good if you like those kinds of things. I just recently bought the movie RADIO with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ed Harris I havn't watched it yet but it sure does look good. I'll let you know how it is. I also love all the Indiana Jones movies, The Lord Of the Rings movies (although I havn't seen the third on yet:rolleyes: ) I also love all the Meg Ryan movies, Chicago, Moulan Rouge, and of course I love Marilyn Monroe I own all her movies. I also like horror movies but even after A while those get stupid. I still think they should have stopped after 1 movie for Freddy Kruger, Mike Myers, and Jason:rolleyes: they just got to stupid after A while. Although Freddy VS. Jason was actually pretty good I have to say. As you can tell I love watching movies,:cool: What kind of movies do you all like?:D

What Lies Beneath - is that the one with Michelle Phiefer and Harrison Ford? Gooood film! Scarier than I thought it would be! I saw it when it was at the cinema - things are always a lot scarier when you see them on the big screen! Luckily I really enjoy scaring myself!! haha! xx

I know! I didn't expect it to be so scary too! We saw once upon a time in mexico yesterday. The only thing I liked was (like everybody) Johnny Depp. Every moviecritic says the movie is about nothing and the story is nothing, everything is nothing, but johnny makes it all good. they're right...

Anyone seen 'What's eating Guilbert Grape'? Very good film with a very young Leo Dicaprio in it. I cried and cried at the end of that! I also saw a film not so long a go called 'Wit' which had Emma Thompson in it who I think is an amazing actress. She played a woman going through treatment for cancer. It was the most moving thing I've ever seen. I watched it with my mum and just sobbed for about half an hour afterwards - a good cry always does you good! x

Hello 10eke, I seen The League Of Extrodinary Gentlemen too, like you I didn't think it was the best in the world either but I still enjoyed it. My husband can't wait to see that movie. He say's it's based off of A comic book.

It is based on comics! There are lots of 'comic'movies coming out this year. Hellboy, spidey2, fab 4 or something...

LXG? I don't know what to compare it with... It's not really like x-men. Less futuristic, I guess...

I need some advice here ladies and Gents. Has anyone here seen The Passion of Christ? I want to see it, but I'm afraid of all the violence in the movie. Now yea I can watch A horro movie with no problem but when it comes to Jesus and violence I'm not sure I can handle it because he is really in my heart and alway's will. Granted yes I know Jesus didn't die in A nice way, I just don't know if I could sit through it. Shoot I cried while watching the trailer on the internet. I'm just trying to get some feed back on the movie, besides what you hear on tv.:) I'm sorry if I cause any heated argument's on hear about religion because that's not what I intended to do.:o I will respect anybody's opinion.:D

I answered this already but it went away....

I have heard that the Passion movie is pretty emotional and I can't bear to see Jesus being crucified again. It tears me apart to think about it and I would end up crying hysterically if I was in the theater, so I'm not going to see the movie.

I'm in two minds about it. It's meant to be really very good and very powerful. I will probably go to see it when it comes out over here.

I'm thinking I will probably watch it here at home when it comes out on DVD. I was talking with John (my hubby) and he's not really that religous at all but he sais he would wathcit with me. I know what's going to happen, I am probably going to be crying through out the whole movie. He is not A real big believer but he is willing to sit with me watch it.:D

Hi Jenny Boop;
I recently saw the Passion of Christ.
It is a very powerful film that is very emotional. We have all been warned about the graphic violence by all the reviews.
We see gunplay in movies quite often but this is quite different. Usually those movies are fictional and they never show any blood.
The scene where Jesus is beaten with whips is quite disturbing and is not for the squeamish. I would not recommend it to younger viewers.
Mel Gibson does a great job of capturing the emotion of the events. The movie is not in English. It is in Aramaic and Latin with English subtitles. It was never a problem with the language barrier, much of the English Language is derived from Latin and I was surprised at how much I understood.
I am sure most people said "who" when they saw that Jim Caviezel would portray Jesus. I remembered him from his great performance in the movie "High Crimes" He is on trial for the murder of civilians while at war. He is defended by his wife (also a lawyer) Ashley Judd and ex-military lawyer Morgan Freeman.

John Thank you John for your input on the movie, so I know what to expect when I do see it. I know it is not in english and I would have to read sub-titles and I have no problem with that, sometimes you don't need any dialog to know what's going on. I also know the violence will be different then what I would see in any other movie because it is happening to Jesus. I have to say that I admire and respect Mel Gibson for sticking by his convictions and his beliefs to get this movie made. Yes I remember that movie High Crimes and yes it was very good.
