Yep, that's how I justify making purchases of items that I should've bought when they first came out... seems like that happens sometimes... so we need to avoid missing out... everything that is Betty Boop becomes a collectible someday because these items aren't made forever.

Sounds like your mom is a pretty smart woman because you did well on the contests and won lots of prizes didn't you?

I'm MAD on BB but my family keep a look out for her for me :D i have my Nana's (granma's) looking for stuff too!! one of my nana's got me a BB cowboy Keychain and a small BB marilyn monroe pose orniment :D my other nana's got me 3 BB framed pic's. Someone at my mum's work today was tesing out a new machine they got and did me a Biker Betty Boop see-through sticker that would usually go on the side of a car but i'm going to put it on a frame :) so i even had the people at my mam's working do it!! even the men!! it was lee who did it for me :D it's really confusing when i go to mam's work because of that, because all i can hear is Lee, and i'm called Leigh too! ok.. now im blabbering! :P *shoves bun in mouth*

ha ha.. I just pictured you shoving something into your mouth.. ha.. I thought I was the only one who did that.

I have people all the time making things for me too... like return address labels and check book covers and they send me all kinds of gifs... but I tell them I can't use it in my email and stuff because usually it's not licensed.

In fact, I just had a woman in Australia tell me that the law in Australia is if you change the image by 75% it's legally yours... I said "WHAT? I never heard of such a thing" I think she is trying to legitimize her use of altered Betty images and I'm not buying it.

But it sounds really neat that your mom's co-workers make things for your personal use. That's cool.. I think so anyway....
