So at last, snow hits Birmingham, England! It's only three weeks too late for a white christmas! Finally we see some white! Yay! xxx

:D it's snowed in the north east about 2 weeks ago. it snowed heavy for about 3 days and then... nothing!

Yeah, it's stopped here already!! :( I want it to snow loads so I can make a snow man! The last time there was enough snow to do that was about 6 years a go when I was at school and we got to have a day off, so my friend and I made a mini snow man in the drive way of the local pub! I'm not sure why we put it there! It was great fun! xx

:D i remember last year me and my friend went down on the same plastic sledge and it split in half and i went one way and she went the other! :P then she got hers and it happened again! we won't do it this year though :P

we also made this huge snowman, a proper one like you see in films!! :P

;) Yea where I live in southern Illinois we have been having A very mild winter we had maybe at the most 2 inches of snow. The temperature goes up and down one day it will be in 50's and the next day in 30's it has not gotten really that cold at all. Shoot one day it was in the upper 60's it sure as heck does not feel like winter weather.

I've got a photograph of me and my sister when we were little - i must have been about 7, standing next to this massive snowman we built with my dad. It was twice the size of me and I remember we put a broom stick coming out of the side of it and covered it with snow, then put a can of beer in its hand! People kept stopping outside our house and laughing! I'll have to try and find that picture and post it cos its really good - and a great memory too! xx

I did not know that Bikerbetty! You learn something new every day!! The thing is, I don't think my nan knew either - I think she just put them in the fridge as a fluke! Well UK is set to have major chills this week! They reackon it will hit minus 9 or 10 - I don't think I've ever witnessed cold like that in England! Looks like we're in for a chilly one peeps! Wrap up warm - it's gonna be nasty!
My best friend has to drive all the way from Birmingham to Bournmouth which will take about 4 hours and she's really worried that the weather is gonna have her stuck on the motorway. Hopefully her company will cancel the course so she doesn't have to go. I'll be so worried if she has to drive in those conditions! x

The snow today was horrible!!!!
it was fun for about the first 10 minutes walking fru the soft snow, until i reached the bus stop and relised that buses wernt working as normal, and that u cud walk faster and overtake any bus on the rout, it was a long long walk home! :(

Boopsie that's the thing about snow.. it's fun initially and then the hard fact settles in that it's cooooold and wet!! I'm like you.. I have fun for the first couple minutes and then let me back indoors where it is warm.. then give me cookies and hot cocoa and a fireplace with a good movie on tv and I'm set!!

yes, I can't believe the weather reports that I see for those states north of us, like Montana and Wyoming.

I have a friend who lives there and he says it's well below zero there..... then I see New York and the east coast and then I feel guilty for complaining when it's in the 60's here. Guess I'm pretty spoiled.

Well the snow from yesterday has turned rock hard with ice! The roads are deadly out there! Took me a good ten minutes to get to work when I only live 3 minutes away! Someone has had a minor accident so their car is accross the roundabout so everyone has to drive on the pavement to get round the island! Of course I get stuck on the curb so some poor bloke had to give me a shove and send me on my way (quite a nice looking young man I might add!) So all in all, the day has started off very slippery! x

Well the ice has completely cleared up here! It's still very cold, but at least driving is a little safer! Well, the spring bulbs are starting to poke through the ground. Soon we'll have daffodils. It's funny, but every year all the daffodils manage to bloom on my birthday.... which is one month from today!:D The jonquil is the flower for March, so that is so appropriate!:D

I've heard of the Devil Dolls in the S.F. area... but I think they are affiliated with H.A. maybe? Not sure of that...

There are two women rider clubs that I know of ... Women in the Wind and Women on Wheels... both are good groups.... and of course there are the LOH (Ladies of Harley) which is part of the Harley Owner Group.

Well we would if it would snow again! As I said, that picture was taken about 14 years ago and we've not had such heavy snow since then! I'd love to be able to build a snowman like that with my children (when i have them) but I can't see it happening cos they say that we won't really see snow like that again cos of global warming.....so looks like it was a one off :( At least I still have the photo though! x

It's not quite warm enough yet to turn the central heating off!! In fact this week our heating broke down and the house was sooo cold! We had to borrow electric heaters off the landlord! Luckily they fixed it the next day, but brrr....not nice! x

Well I washed both my Suzuki and the Harley!! Worked on them til the sun went down and then I took Suzie for a quick ride.

You are both right about the polishing of the chrome.... there are so many nooks and crannies in motorcycles.. it's unreal!

And there's a different kind of cleaner and polisher for each thing... one for paint, another for chrome, one for the engine, another for the wheels, another for the seat and tool bag, one for the windshield and oh least I forget.. another for the tires!!!

Whew.. no wonder I was so tired!!! But it gave me something to do while I worried about my mom. My sis took her to the hospital for her MRI. (we are sharing the car pool duties right now)

Won't have results til next week when she meets with her doctor.

Thank you Jenny... I just saw her a few minutes ago... she was trying to water some of her trees. I told her I'd do it for her.

We have fruit trees and pine trees and they are all getting ready to blossom. Even the roses are starting to come back to life and my grass too... which means getting out the old push mower.

Well it's snowing once again here!! Quite a lot as well! Again, I drove to work in a wet patch - you'd think I would have learnt from the last time! Can't believe how much it has snowed - it's March for goodness' sake! xx

They don't have any music quiz shows anymore do they? They were fun... do you remember the Honeymooners when Ralph went on a music show and couldn't remember the name of the tune? It was hilarious! it's a classic.

Well this British weather is getting silly! This morning we got to work to find that the windows have been blown in again! Then all morning it has been absolutely pouring down with rain - like the really hard rain that makes a lot of noise on the windows - and now the sun is shining! I really wish it would make up it's mind! I never know what to wear in the mornings anymore cos the weather changes so frequently!! x
