I've kinda always liked Betty Boop but I didn't become a booper until 2 days ago when I found the website. Betty is soooo cute! :D

It's only been two years for me, when I was 17 years young. I was drawn to her basically because I ,also, thought she was cute.

I've been a Booper for about 15 years. I got hooked when I heard her say "Boop-oop-ba-doo". I have so many items of hers, anytime someone see me they call me Betty Boop.

Hi Boopers;
I fell in love with Betty when I was in my twenties. ( I am in my forties now. ). I bought a Betty T Shirt for my favorite cocktail waitress on her birthday. She loved it. I had to get one too. Right then I knew that I have gotten hooked on Betty

I was a freshman in high school and 15 years old (now, I'm 29 going on 30)...I had a really, really short haircut and some guy said, "Hey, you look like Betty Boop." I was a bit curious to learn more about this Betty Boop and I looked her up and fell inlove and started collecting immediately.
To this day people call me Betty Boop because they swear I look like her, and that's why I collect her, but I don't think I do. I collect her because I just think she's precious.
I have to admit though, a few years back I did dress up as Betty Boop for Halloween and people were able to figure out who I was supposed to be...hmmm.....

I became interested in Betty Boop from a young age. She was one of the cartoons I was kinda brought up on. I am only 21 but, she has always been a part of my life. I seriously got interested in her about 2 years ago, when I started going out with my boyfriend. It was he who got me in touch with my Boop-iness!

I think it is soooooooooo cooooooool how a cartoon that came out in 1930 can stand the test of time. I watch those cartoon's today in 2003 and watch in awe beacuse when they came out in 1930 they were ahead of their time. I watched Who framed Roger Rabitt saturday and what I found so amazing about that movie was of all the cartoon's they used one of them was Betty, she stand's the test of time. That's same with Elvis, his popularity grow's on A yearly basis. Is there any Marilyn Monroe fan's out there? Marilyn is also one of loves besides my husband and Betty, Marilyn is another one who's fan base just keep's growing and growing. It just goes to show you that the CLASSIC'S NEVER DIE.

Yeah, that is cool. In my family there are four generations of Betty Boop fans/collectors. Me, of course, being the youngest since I'm only 19. Hopefully when I have kids, they can enjoy her like many generations before. She is definiately a legend.
The only reason why I watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit is to see Betty. :)
I can't say that I'm a fan of Marilyn or Elvis, although they are legendary, but I am a huge fan of Lucy. I can never see enough of I Love Lucy. :D

Why yes! I collect few Marilyn things. I few pictures and such. But I don't think anything has tugged at my heart like Betty. I wonder if the person that created Betty ever believed that people would fall in love with her the way they have?;) My brother got me (for my birthday) a metal street sign that says "Betty Boop Place" It's bright red with white lettering. My hubby mounted it on a pole right out in front facing the road. This stuff is way to fun to be legal, right?:D Enjoy!

I was 15 when i bought my first Tshirt, then I just was happy when seeing BB but I made a break at my job for a few years to bring up my 4 daughters and I now find more time to collect BB items . Even if you're not fond of BB, just look at her and you fall in love : her tender look, her nice face, she seems so fragile, and so sweet, it seems that if you follow her, everything will be ok for you, she's just so cool and cute ,just look at her and you'll quick understand why so many people like her, c'est mon porte bonheur ! (she brings me luck)

Yes, she is a sweety. I just wished I looked that cute in her hairstyle, I would ware my hair that short. But I have redhair and a lot of it. me thinks I would look more like Little Orphan Annie instead of the cuttie Betty.

That is too cute! They use to cal the curls Betty has "Spit curls". But I think a few bobbie pins would do the same thing. I was thinking how cute it would be if I could get a pattern for BB's little white dog and make him out of chineille. I need to start collecting BB's cartoons, I still remember them and her voice.;) Everyone have a great day!

Hi Coffeesonme
I just realised that I have somewhere in the house a knitting pattern (hook I should say) of a little dog I once made for one of my daughters when she was a baby . The problem is that even if I found it that will be in french andI'm sure it will be brain storming for both of us me for translation and you to underdstand my translation !!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the info about the curls, do you know that BB earings were in fact dog ears as she was a dog at the begining !

:D Hahahahahahaa! No I didn't know about the earings. She must of been a dog way before I started watching her. I'm just glad that she is who she is today and has remained that way:)
That's cool about the pattern, and yes you are right I would be totally lost! Now if it were crochet or knit I might be able to slowly figure it out. I'm Irish and Scottish so I'm confused enough already;) Take care!

Say, I remember that cartoon! Where Betty was a Redhead!
Yes, if I can get a pattern I'd like to make a puppy like Betty's white puppy. If I can't knit or crochett it, I'll try to make one one out of a chenille white bathrobe.:D What do you think?;) Have a great one.

I too became an avid Betty Boop fan as a child watching her on my parents black and white television. She has stood the test of time because everyone can identify with her. She can be anything she wants to be! She first came to my attention as a "biker" in 1994 and I've been collecting as many of her motorcycle products as I can. In fact, did you know there is a fan club devoted to her biker image?

 No I didn't know that. But I'm not surprised. My bro rides a harley so he has gotten me the afghan with Betty on it that says "Born to Boop" and he also got me a salt and pepper shaker with Betty on a Harley.:D Ya know what would be way cool? Is to have Betty as an Angel like the small ones that Bikers have on their bike. There probably already is:) Somewhere!:)

There are lots of Biker Betty Boop collectibles.... more each day it seems like and I'm very glad. My husband also rides a Harley and I could never find much that I liked with motorcycle logos on it til they created Betty as a biker!!
