Hi folks,

This is my first communication on this forum, so forgive me if I don't yet fit in. Having never visited a cyber-chat room before, it's all a little new.

I've recently started collecting Boopabelia, and with a vengeance. I started in August and have around 30 items already, from the UK, the US and Hong Kong. I've purchased a lot from e-bay, as it's the easiest accessible place in the UK, although it does seem to be filtering through to our shops slowly - I happened upon some BB lingerie today, so of course, I snapped it up.

My reason for subscribing to the forum was initially to locate some BB confetti, but having read everyone's comments etc., have decided I quite like it here, so it looks like you're stuck with me!!!

Thanks guys!! Sorry for the delay in replying, have been away for the weekend, and guess what?!! I spotted a BB Cardew Teapot in a little shop in Windermere, The Lake District, UK. Made me feel at home!!

Yeah, I guess it will get me too, especially after a few glasses of wine!! Where abouts in the UK are you? And how long have you been collecting Boop? My very first memory was a nightshirt my mom bought me about 25 years ago!! Then I noticed a phone cover about 3 months ago, and then someone introduced me to e-bay (big mistake - I've been skint ever since!!). Now I have boopabelia coming out of my ears - thimbles, clocks, mouse mat, mugs, a drawer full of underwear...... the list goes on. I need to get my website sorted so I can show off my collection. Not that any of it's valuable, just makes me happy :-)

HEHE! i live in the north east. i was about 8 when i discovered BB! i remember buying a postcard and Nurse Betty badge in scotland!

I'm not sure how these chat rooms work - so let me know if I ask things I shouldn't!! Do you work? I do accounts (yawn)........
I have a daughter, but am still young enough (just about) to go clubbing! I've noticed that some people have looked at my posting for trying to locate BB confetti, but I think it's pretty hard to locate, so I've had no replies yet. Still, I may be lucky........

im still young! lol, too young, if you go onto Other hobbies than collectiing BB you will see my exact age! :rolleyes:

Dont worry, you will get the hang of the system, it grew on me very quickly! i mean look, over 460 posts! HEHE ;)

Welcome to the forum Queen of Boop and it's great to see another member from Great Britain! One of my favorite countries!!!

You mentioned that you are looking for confetti and I know that Bright Ideas makes party supplies like balloons, banners, cups, paper plates, table cloths etc. and they also make streamers but no confetti that I've seen.

Have fun on the forum.. it's a great place to be a member of.

We all share a common love for Betty Boop!!!
