HELP! I'm a dancer's Mom whose daughter is dancing in a competition soon and we do not know who the artist is - of her song. We call the song "Betty Boop" but we don't really know the exact name because the music was given to us on a mix CD from another dance company. We need the name of the artist and the album of music for our entry into the competition.

The song repeats the verse, "What Betty Boop Can Do!" throughout and it is sung by a female. It is a Broadway (jazz) type arrangement.

Please let me know ASAP if you have any ideas! Thanks! "Sam" ;)

Hi Sam,
I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to your question about the music. Perhaps MGCHAN can help... or go to Ask Jeeves... maybe you can get the answer there.

Who is MGCHAN and how do I contact? Thanks, Sam

MGCHAN is the administrator here on the forum. He stays pretty busy..... so not sure when he'll be able to answer your question.

Is this it?

A hot cornet can go: [cornet sounds]
But a hot cornet can't "boop-boop-a-doop" like Betty Boop can do!

A saxophone can go: [saxophone sounds]
But a saxophone can't "boop-boop-a-doop" like Betty Boop can do!

This little miss would never miss a chance for vocal tuning,
And anytime and anywhere you can hear this lady crooning!

An auto horn can go [auto horn sounds]
But an auto horn can't "boop-boop-a-doop" like Betty Boop can do!

This is from the 31st boop cartoon.
Hope I've helped!

Yes, that's it! Thanks for the info! I need to know who wrote the words and who is singing the song. But I may be asking too much! If anyone is familiar with this, please let me know. Thanks, Sam

Mgchan, can't bbooper email the song to you? Or is there a way to post a song on the board? I'd love to hear it too!

Wish I could play it for you! I have it on a cassette tape at home and on a CD or tape at the dance studio. I don't know how to post it here or how to open it on BBooper's thread. Any suggestions? Thanks, Sam ;)

hmmm... you're asking something that is above my technical capabilities. Hopefully someone else will know how to assist.

First use Winzip to zip the file, then E-mail the file to me at mchan@hearst.com.
