No edit button?

New here, only two posts, and I'm wondering why I don't get an edit button anywhere on my post, after it is posted? I would have made a small edit to my first one right away, but there was no button then (yesterday,) or today, after making a second post. Is this feature disabled for me? I see other posts marked as edited.

At other v-bulletin sites I go to, there is an edit button, down by the quote/multi-quote buttons, and I don't see one here, even immediately after I post. So, it is not a matter of waiting too long to try to edit.

The option to edit the post was removed. In the past, members abused it by editing their posts to completely change the original message. Without the ability to edit a post, it cuts down the nonsense on this site.
