Show us your Betty Boop collection!

It doesn't matter if you've just started collecting or have been doing it for many years. It's not so much the quantity of the collection, but rather the quality.

1st place - Choice of a wall or desk clock.
2nd place - Choice of hand towels or a mug.
3rd place - Choice of visor or hat.

Rules:
1. Contest to end March 31, 2003.
2. The winners, 1st - 3rd place, will be determined by fan votes.
3. No dealer or store owner submissions.
4. No photo may be submitted in which items were added using a photo editing tool, i.e. - Adobe PhotoShop.
5. In the event there are three (3) entries or less at the end of the contest, we reserve the right to cancel this contest.

Note: The winners may already have these items, but what the heck, I had to start a contest somewhere!

:) How do we do this? Should I just list what i have of Betty? Well I am A new Betty Boop fan so I don't have that much. 3 T-shirt's, 8 VHS video collection of her cartoons, 2 7inch Bobble Head dolls one dressed as an angle, other like the devil (good verses evil), lisence plate, key chain and I just ordered a metal poster. I don't have much yet but I hope to get more.

It's wonderful to see your participation and welcome to the Betty Boop forum!

Not to put a damper but even though this forum was created for all Betty Boop fans and we want it to be the best around... we do have a problem with members posting Betty Boop images. Alot of the images of Betty Boop out there are modified or are in violation of the Trademark laws. So... since we are the official Betty Boop site and forum, we have to protect Betty Boop and its usage.

I know it's not posted anywhere and there was no way any member would've know not to do so. This is not a lecture to you or any member, just an explanation.

We'll try to originate Betty Boop images and graphics for members to download and use.

Hello Everyone,

I just got back home today. Went to Daytona for Bike Week. Had a great time. I bought 2 new Betty T-Shirts. And a friend gave me a Betty Boop Rubber Duck. It is now my favorite piece, she's just too cute as a rubber duck. I also bought a Betty Boop Daytona 2003 Tack Pin for my motorcycle vest.

Isn't the Betty Boop Rubber Duck the cutest thing? My mother-in-law bought me that two Christmas's ago and I never took it out of the case. It is cute, huh??? lol
I thought of you the other day, my sister-in-law bought me a t-shirt from Florida of a Biker Betty Boop and it had all these specs and decoration on it and I just folded it up and displayed it on my shelf. It is too pretty to wear.
Talk to you soon,
Lynnette :D

Hey ABettyBoopster... you lucky gal got to go to Daytona... it helps that you live in Florida doesn't it? I'd love to see a picture of your bike. Which new shirts did you get? We had some friends ride down to Daytona from Indiana.... said they had a great time! Hope you did too. What do you ride?

BikerBettyBoop,

I only live 150 miles from Daytona, we go every year for Bike week and for Biketoberfest. However this time we went over on Wensday the 5th. Rode around that night and Thursday. It was just beautiful riding. Then Friday KABOOM down came the rain, Friday, Saturday more rain and Sunday half of the day. So we ended up staying there until Monday. I ride a 1996 Honda Shadow ACE 1100. Here's my home page you can see my bike on there. My Dad has rode a Harley for as long as I can remember. Now he is 67 and still riding his Harley Road King. I guess it's in my blood. :)

http://hometown.aol.com/abettyboopster/myhomepage/profile.html

I'm now in the process of getting my new tank and fenders painted. Mother Of Pearl White. With Betty Boop's head cut out in the fender for my brake light, when I step on the brake Betty's face lights up. And the film strip of Betty on the tank. Should have the parts back in about 3-4 weeks. Had to send them to a guy in Arizona for the paint job. He painted my boyfriends bike. He does beautiful work.

Though the forum rules forbids any personal links, this is the perfect example of what would be acceptable as a link. It's the type of info one would put into their member profile. Great job! The link can stay. :D

JzBoopster, Sorry about that. However I didn't even notice that the pic's were yours also. However!!! I did think you might be just starting to collect Betty Boop stuff. There are several people on this site just starting out.

Again I'm sorry if I offended you :o

JzBoopster
03-16-2003, 02:03 PM
That's ok you didn't offend me, I just wanted to point that out since I have been collecting Betty Boop for many years now!! :)

I was just wondering...
Can I enter a couple of things that I have ordered, but that haven't arrived at my house yet? I was asking because the company I ordered them from doesn't have them in stock, so they have to get them from the manufacturer and I'm sure they won't get to my house before the contest ends. :(

Hi Grimmers... that's a nice start... we all have to begin somewhere!!! So hang in there with it and have fun.... after all that's what it's all about. Having fun by collecting something you love and has some great value too!

Bikerbettyboop
03-21-2003, 01:01 PM

It also lights up! I got it as a christmas present, but I know that it came from the Danbury Mint

Abettyboopster
03-21-2003, 04:50 PM
Thanks JzBoopster, I'm going to try and find Danbury Mint online and try to get myself one.:D

JzBoopster
03-21-2003, 06:00 PM
I don't think you're going to have any luck ordering it online...I've tried to get stuff from the Danbury Mint online and the only products that are for sale through Danburymint.com is their sports memrobelia (sp?) I do believe however that their phone # is on the website so you can call there to get the Danbury Mint catalog

Abettyboopster
03-22-2003, 10:12 AM
JzBoopster, You have to go to Danburymint.com once you are there. Go to Contact Us, send them an e-mail on what you are looking for and they will send you an e-mail saying they can put the order in for you. That's how I ordered the Calender w/figurines. I'm not sure if that will work for everything or not. If that don't work on this Christmas Tree. I guess I check E-Bay. Maybe I'll get lucky. God I hope so. Thanks anyway.:D
