It saddens me today what a tragedy we had. I pray for those who lost loved ones on this day two years ago. I hope God eases their grief and keep their loved one in their memory. Good memories.

sorry! I have been ill...... but on september 11th I help my son to do a project making a mural about sept. 11th and he fell asleep so i finished it with the essay he wrote. But I open his sentences more. ......WE got a 98 that made me feel good since its been a while since i been in school, he is 13.....wow i don't feel that old. Well i was doing research online about the 11th and i can't believe how many pictures out there that exist. It is very sad. i pray for all of them and give peace to the friends an family. what broke my heart is seeing a child who still cries over the grave after 2 years......I hope nothing like that ever, ever happens agains..

Don't be mad at those of us who were unable to reply to this thread before now regarding Sept. 11th... believe me anyone and everyone who lives in America will always remember and never forget that day in our history!!
I planted a tree that day in remembrance of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11th. It is growing into a beautiful tree!!!

When I planted the tree it was only about 5 feet tall and now it is about 15 feet tall and has a nice trunk.... it is a beautiful tree and I know it will bring us years of shade and a place to seek solitude and relax.

I was actually planting the tree early that morning when my mom came running outdoors and told me that there had been a plane crash and that I needed to stop what I was doing and come see the television.
Well I couldn't stop the planting, so I hurriedly finished and then went inside to see the news and it was terrible. My mom and I cried and cried and cried for days!! We still cry when we see the pictures again on television.
It was a sad day.

I love trees and rose bushes and I have planted many trees in honor of loved ones who have passed both family and friends.
Speaking of which, some of my friends think I am nuts when I plant a tree and name it after someone.. but that's what I like to do.... I keep a book with notes on each tree and who or what it is named for.

I hate gophers/moles!! They took out 4 little seedling trees that I had planted recently. I just tried to bomb them with a gas cannister. Hope it works cause I'm tired of feeding trees and plants to them!!!

The gophers and moles are having a hey day between my house, my mom's house and my sister's house. We all are neighbors and the gophers are eating our shrubs and trees. My sister found 8 trees cut down by gophers today! We've tried everything... nothing seems to get rid of them!!

I have tried to poison them, flush them out with water, trap them and all to no avail... the gophers always seem to win.......... they are pretty smart varmits!! ha ah. ;) But it drives me crazy because they eat my trees and vegetables and plants!

my sister said she uses chewing gum... says she puts a stick in the gopher hole and they choke on it when they eat it. I think she's teasing me.. what do you think?

lol, sounds funny, but its worth a try, once they choke, they might not come back!

I'm not sure if the chewing gum really worked or if it just got so cold the gophers are hibernating.. but they went away... but they'll be baaaaaack.......
