? about old amber glass Pudgy?

I have loved Betty for 50 yrs now and came across a 1 3/4in very old amber glass bull dog with a hole in its cheek , maybe for a pencil or maybe a little newspaper?? its little left ear is turned down and it is the spitting image of Pudgy , does anyone know if it was sold as Bettys Dog or just a look alike bulldog???
