Hi all,
Here's a thread where you can share with us some of the funny/embarrassing things that have happened to you in the past!
To break the ice, I'll share with you two things that I did that were really dumb. ;)
I remember once having to go to work early. Considering I didn't have time to make coffee at home, I decided to stop at a McDonald's on the way. I pulled into the parking lot as normal and pulled up behind one of the cars to make my order. I was being really patient as I waited for the slow-poke in front of me to finish making his/her order - 5 mins gone by, 10 mins gone by. But because I had to be at work I didn't have all day to wait, so I started honking at this person in front of me to hurry up. Then I noticed that the person in front had the sun visor pulled over his window, so I started thinking how in the world is this person driving with the visor on his windshield. It took me a while to realize that I had pulled up behind a parked car.
-------------
On another long day at work I found myself having to make a phone call. I picked up the office phone and dialled a number, and as I waited for the person to answer, I heard my cell start ringing. So I hung up the office phone - since no one was answering - and answered the cell. When I answered the cell, I noticed the person had already hung up. "Strange," I thought. So I went back to the office phone to make a call and when I dialled the number, the cell started ringing again. So I hung up the work phone and answered the cell. Again, the person had already hung up. By the fourth time, I was a bit frustrated. I noticed the number on the phone was my work number, so I started wondering who in the world could be calling me at work on my cell phone, knowing I'm already at work. So I sent an intercom to everyone, saying if anyone was trying to reach me on my cell, I was in my office and they could reach me on the office phone. Afterwards, I picked up the office phone again and began to make the phone call. The cell started ringing again. When I picked up the cell phone, the person had already hung up. Let's just say that a couple of minutes later, I felt like a complete idiot.
Enjoy - and no insults please (I know this site's full of nice people so I doubt that'll be a problem :D) !

Only share it if you feel comfortable sharing it, of course.
Besides, I doubt it could be more embarrassing than any of the two things I just did above. :o Laughing about it helped me get over how embarrassing it was for me... :)

It also doesn't have to be something you're particularly embarrassed about. This is just a thread to share funny stories...something funny your kids might have said or something.

Hey boopers!!
here is on of my many funny, stupid and embarrasing stories form the vault...
when i was kind of small, my mom took me and the family to Starbucks to grab a hot chocolate on the winter day it was. So we walked in and ordered and waited and got our drinks. Sadly, when we walked out the door, i happened to spill mine....completely....and i hadn't even taken one sip!!! I was kind of upset too though....... and guess what here are two of the same incidences but a few years later.......
My friends and i were walking home and we stopped at Starbucks to get drinks, of course! I got an Iced passion tazo tea ( which is quite good by the way ) and we sat down on a futon in the alley for a minute and i (somehow) dropped my iced tea !!! URG !
And another time i had gotten a hot passion tea and i just dropped for some reason............
hope you enjoyed these,

Hehe join the club obsessive_boop! I've done enough of those. I remember I bought a green tea at Starbucks - it looked so good and I couldn't wait to drink it, but I wanted to wait till I got home. Well, when I got home, I stupidly set the drink (in the tray) on the stove, halfway on the eye and halfway off. It tipped over and fell top-first on the floor. I didn't get a chance to enjoy it but the floor did! Ugh!
It's kinda upsetting hehe

OH I've done some pretty dumb things too... like dumped my Harley motorcycle in the gravel.. now that's an expensive thing to dump on the ground!! Plus the replacement parts aren't cheap!! And it's embarassing!

Oh oh ...
Yeah, that's not fun at all. I hope you didn't mess your bike up too bad and I hope you're not saying you fell off the bike!
Reminds me of something else I did pretty dumb. I made a right turn on a red light, which is fine, legal - but what wasn't legal was that I did that without looking first. A big work truck came out from nowhere and struck the front of my car on the side. The truck had no damage... my car, $7,000 worth. No one hurt; it was just so embarrassing!! I only had the car (Honda) about a year by then.
My little brother had the nerve to congratulate me... I felt like laying him out hehe..

I've been down on my Harley 3 times.. all 3 times in gravel... minimal damage but enough that it skinned me up a little bit and hurt my mirror, handlebars, pipes, etc. but nothing majorly serious.
Wow that's a bummer about your car accident.
I had a bad accident on Friday the 13th in 1992. Some guy ran a red light and t-boned me... totalled my car which was only a few months old. I was in the hospital in a coma for a few days.. had some injuries that took a while to heal but it could've been a whole lot worse.

Wow, those are unfortunate, especially the car accident!! It's good to hear you're okay now!!

I'm very glad to hear that!!
I hate accidents. I'm now able to laugh a little at that accident because of my own stupidity. But I'm definitely more careful about tuning out behind the wheel, and I'm very grateful that it wasn't more severe!
It's the sort of thing that makes you feel grateful...

Some of us have had some really funny moments! LOL!! Thanks for sharing!!
I had a funny one happen this morning. My cat captured a baby bunny rabbit in my garden, so I cornerd her and grabbed the baby out of her mouth and the baby jumped out of my hands and took off running! It was funny. I couldn't believe how fast that bunny ran!! I was going to put her someplace safe from my cat but I guess she is making my garden her home! LOL!!

Lol! That's cute!
I have an overly-friendly indoor cat that sometimes tries to be an outdoor cat, despite the fact he's always been the type that would walk fearfully back to the house the moment he got too far from the door. Well one day, I was bringing the groceries in as usual and my hands were full. For the first time ever, I saw my cat trotting proudly out the door and, as I approached to put him back in the house, he just took off running! So I set the groceries down and started running after him. The cat just got even more startled and started running even faster! Fortunately, I happen not to have the brightest cat on earth. The cat stopped at a big tree we have in the backyard and tried to jump up, but he lost his balance. By then I was at full speed and not far from the cat; the cat, once again planning his escape route up the tree! :D
Too bad he was too slow! I caught him before he tried to jump up again...

Aren't cats something else? My cat is an indoor cat 90% of the time but she loves to be outdoors in the mornings when I first open the office when it's warm outside. She's also a big chicken and hides most of the time.. but she does go after lizards and baby rabbits!!

Yeah, cats are amazing. They have their own personalities (or "cat-nalities," rather ;)).
I've never actually seen my cat go after anything alive; he's more likely to go away from it! But he's a charming character - very laid back. He's a chicken until he gets to know you. After that, he just turns into a purring-machine.

Oh I forgot to tell you my latest "funny" moment with my cat! I bought a 10# bag of cat food and set it on my desk (I usually keep it in a cupboard here in my office, so my sneaky cat can't get into it) WELLLLL... I forgot to put it in the cupboard yesterday and this morning I was greeted by a torn up bag of cat food and tid bits "EVERYWHERE!!!" What a mess! She has cat food from one end of my office to the other!

Yeah Egypt and Ethiopia - I think Abyssinia is an old name for Ethiopia.
I've never actually seen one in real life, but I have heard they're very friendly!

Oh my, don't you hate it when you do that? hehe
I have done that before. The cat came in the room and I noticed he looked a bit bloated (my cat's not overweight). When I went to the kitchen, the bag was torn open and there was kibble all over the place!
Left the food in a very accessible place to the cat: on the floor! Totally forgot to put it in the cupboard.
That couldn't have been good for the cat...

I have to remember to put my cat food away for that reason too. Funny thing is, she has an automatic feeder that holds 5 # of food and she can eat anytime she wants but I guess it was more fun to rip open the bag! LOL!
