Congrats Bexi on your senior booper status!!! Way to go!!
Hey Deadpool, My husband and I rode our Harleys to a big Harley-Davidson celebration yesterday near the Grand Canyon (it's Harley's 100th birthday) anyway... I met a guy there from Wales. He told me he saved his money for 7 years and he shipped his Harley here and has been riding it all across the US this whole summer celebrating Harley's birthday... cool huh? There were also some people there from Italy... and some other riders from the UK as well... there were over 7,000 Harleys at this party! It was a blast.. but it rained on us...even hailed .. that wasn't pleasant!
Sorry... I didn't mean to ramble on so much....... just thought you'd like to know.

Hey, that's not ramblin'! Now, I ramble! That sounds like a very cool get-together, and it sounds like it was a lot of fun. Very interesting story about the guy from Wales, and the fact that so many other people were from other parts of the world like the UK and Italy. Hey, that's what talking in a forum's all about!
Thank you for the story! I can't wait to hear more.
I hope to hear much more from you all soon!!!!!

Yes, i met some interesting people at the Harley party. Seems many of them saved their money for years in order to take the summer off and ride with thousands of other Harley enthusiasts across the nation enroute to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I even got to see Willie G. Davidson... grandson of the original William Davidson! Did you know there was one Harley and 3 Davidson's who made up the Harley-Davidson team! But seems like Harley gets all the credit.. maybe cause it's easier to say Harley.......
I had to wash mine this morning.. ugh... what a chore.... too many parts to polish and wax!! But it sure is pretty when it's clean.
Ride safe!

Hi There;
I saw a special on TV about the Harley - Davidson. I noticed that there was one Harley and more than one Davidson. I thought "Hey - why not call it a Davidson?" When people heard me call it a Davidson they thought I was nuts so I discontinued the practice.

Well, this is very interesting! I did not know the history of Harley-Davidson and this is so cool to find this stuff out. Thanks!:D That must've been so cool to see the descendant of one of the original Davidsons.

Yep, you're right... there was one man whose last name was Harley and 3 brothers whose last names were Davidson... so they felt to be fair they'd give Harley the first credit... so everyone shortened it to Harley. Though I haven't heard of any of the Harley family remaining in the business. I know that William Davidson's grandson Willie G. Davidson is active in the company... as is his daughter. Interesting history....... did you know Harley-Davidson is the same age as Ford Motor Company?

It's difficult to stay on the topic of each thread because we tend to wander off the subject and post different thoughts... but that's ok isn't it? Sort of?? I know there are tons of threads and maybe we should just have one gigantic thread instead of 100 individual ones?
