be able to give appraisals as an authority of the company. I find it sad that the only person giving such information out is not supported by King Features and the information may not be reliable.

We are not in the business of appraisals. Leonard Ellis does have the support of both King Features and Fleischer Studios.

To qoute what you wrote as a warning to the forum of collectors "Leonard Ellis is not employed by King Features Syndicate, Fleischer Studios or The Hearst Corporation.
Any opinions or views that may be expressed by Leonard Ellis is solely his and not that of King Features Syndicate, Fleischer Studios or The Hearst Corporation.
An online appraisal by Leonard Ellis does not constitute an actual appraisal. It is his opinion of its approximate value and may not reflect the actual current market value." Which is in essence a contridiction as to what you wrote as a reply and I understand that it is not your business to provide such a service I was simply saying that it would be nice.

I stated we support what he does on the forum, I didn't say he was employed by us. What you quoted is legal-speak to protect us.
Leondard Ellis can only give you what he thinks is the approximate value, based on his experience and the market. It is no different than any other appraiser. You can go to two different appraisers and get different quotes. Doing research online will help with determining the approximate value of an object.
I would think Leonard Ellis has more experience in determining the value of a Betty Boop object than anyone else. :)

I wanted to thank you for your suggestions, I will take them under advisement and please note that I do understand that it was legal speak to protect the site and King Features but as you said that King Features does indeed support that is why I quoted the legal speak because it was simply contridictory. I do appriciate your advise and I thank you.
