I used to have a penpal, but we lost touch. I never met her - can't even remember how we started writing to each other. It was fun! But I don't really have time to sit down and write a letter these days - I much prefer chatting with people in here who have the same interests as me!

Well, in a way, we are all penpals, if you really think about it! Only when we write we write for all to see and have multiple penpals. Then it's more like talking at a party than a private conversation. You lose the privacy but you have the fun of getting lots of different input and personalities.
Doesn't it feel like a party sometimes? Kind of? At least a social gathering...

Our weather is still hot here in Arizona but supposed to cool off next weekend... will go from the 80's to the 60' during the day.. all the leaves are orange, yellow and brown!

It was just particularly cold that day - obviously not in sommerset, but its always a bit warmer south of the boarder! :)
I actually quite like winter - although its cold, I love putting the heating on at home, and snuggling with my duvet on the sofa with my pyjamas on with a nice mug of hot chocolate, watching an old film!! Well, we don't have white Christmases in California, but I love the lights, the bright colors, the rich fabrics, the sparkles, the glitters, the feeling of hope during the holiday months. It's always so dreary when the decorations get put away....

Yes, curling up on the sofa with a nice cup of hot tea or cocoa on a cold evening watching movies cuddled up on the sofa.... pure heaven!

i like things like blink 182 and offspring and feeder and simple plan. theyre all punk rocky pop stuff. i dont think anybody should discriminate against other because of their opinions, i dont like dance and trance and stuff like that much but im not gonna hold it against the people that do, its just stupid and its more immature than anything else. you know why they tease you? cos they're afraid THEY'RE the ones who are listenening to the wrong music, ignore tham and pity them because they havnt got much of a life if theyre making fun of you because of your taste in music

BBooper, I think that you are probably a much more interesting person, and THEY are the ones intimidated by you, so they pick on you to make themselves feel better. I'm glad that you are strong enough inside and astute enough to recognize that you should not give in and that you should keep being YOU! You will be a much better person for it. In time, your independence and moxy will allow you to go places and you will be far better off than the sheep who are insecure with themselves and must band together to feel like something.

You are a very good example of what Betty Boop is all about!
