I hope this works, I am still trying to figure out how to attach photos. Plus the new camera is still a mystery to me.

This is a production cell I bought roughly 8-9yrs ago. The back reads"productin cel used in flimin an animated cartoon for color tv/video circa 1950/70 handpainted & inked"
"Film:Betty Boop and bimbo in "crazy red riding hood" scene #29
progression: #D31
background: laser print of an orginal water color

Action: takes place in bedroom of grnadma's cabin, "what big eyes, you have grandma", Betty says to wolf impersonating her"
On the front of the cell is a black waxy 29 and and another D31.

What can you tell me about this cell? I am unable to upload the pix because they are too big? please tell me how to make them fit and i will upload again.

These cells are from the colorization project done by NTA (National Television Associates) to be able to attract TV viewers. They thought if the cartoons were in color rather than the original black & white, they would be more appealing. Trouble is, in some of these, they did a poor job, and in some cases, instead of coloring the original, they made up their own scenes.

As far as value, cells can range from $20 to hundreds, depending on age and which cartoon it is from. The NTA series I've seen in the $20 - $80 range, but there is no real market, so it's whatever someone is willing to pay.

p.s. I believe on this site there was more discusion about these cells . . so do a search and see what comes up.
