I was just wondering what kinds of books does everyone here read?

I like books about vampires and some romance novals. Right now I'm reading the book "Son of a Witch" It's the second book to "Wicked" which is about the Wicked Witch of the West and how she became who she was. Really cool book.

I also read the Carpathian series and the other series by Christian Feehan. They are so good. she has a website if any of you would like to check her books out. You can read the first chapter of all her books there. The carpathian's are sort of vampires searching for the thier soal mate. But they have to hunt the vamipre, which used to be Carpathians before they turned. It's a really awesome series.

I've been really bad about reading lately but I used to read a lot of mysteries.

Right now I have bought a study Bible and I am going to do some biblical reading. I was brought up catholic and you study catacism but they don't go into Bible study. I am doing this on my own.

I've got a couple of books I need to finish which are fantasy literature, about kings and knights, lords and ladies that were given to me.

I'll have to check that one out.

I bought "The Red Dragon" and still have to read that one. It's the first in the Hannibal Lector trilogy... Silence of the Lambs is the second.

Hey this is a great thread! I don't know how I missed it before now! Good topic!!

My husband and I both enjoy reading. And our subject matter is pretty diverse.

We read both non-fiction and fiction.

Hi glitterpinkice... welcome to the forum!!

I'm always glad to see new members join the forum and happy to hear that you like to read books too!

I don't read much fantasy but I did just read an intriguing book called

The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst

It's a novel of astonishing and lasting power... a story of marriage, survival and devotions that lies too deep for words.

It's about a man who returns home one day to find that his wife has died under strange circumstances. The only witness is their dog, whose anguished barking brought help to the scene... but it was too late.

In the days and weeks that follow, he finds "clues" in their home. Reeling from grief, he is determined to decipher this evidence and unlock the mystery of her death. But he can't do it alone... he needs his dog's help. He decides to teach his dog to communicate what she knows....

(It's quite intriguing and I think all dog lovers will enjoy this book!)

Wow, Christine Feehan! I love her Drake sister's novels. They are all withcie-witches with different powers. I'm a little slow and have only gotten to Dangerous Tides... They're good... I can't wait to have the time to get back into them. Ofcourse, I could sacrifice the time spent on this computer :-(. NOT, LOL!
After the Drake Sisters, I could read her Carpathian series, then her Dark Series. Yup, I'll be reading through the year 2020. That's how slow I am at reading, but I do enjoy her books a lot. Glad to hear you like her too boopie1969!!!

GLITTERPINKICE: You might enjoy any one of these series. Check them out on her web and you can decide where to start. Good Luck!

The books by Christine Feehan aren't scary. They're a romance novel. The first one in the series of the Dark series that is, is "Dark Prince" I think you would like it.

Yes, definately. And most of them are much better than the movies. You get to feel the emotions of the charecters...

I'm still working on it. I've been so busy at the house. I've brought it to work to read during the slow times. It has great info in it and will be a big help in training Miki Nanuq. This week I put a collar on him and introduced him to the leash. He doesn't like the leash at all, but I am putting him on it for short intervals.

I finally picked up my birthday present from my mom. She bought me 3 books in addition to angel-cat earrings. I've brought one of them to work. It's called "for one more day" written by Mitch Albom. Apparantly this is part of a series.

Bikerbettyboop

Sounds like your book will be helpful with your training. My dog is 6 years old and she "still hates being on a leash" it's a battle when we take her anywhere on a leash. She is used to running around all our property and so she thinks she's being punished when she's on a leash.

Did I tell you about the Dogs of Babel book? I'll send it to you if you're interested in reading it.. it's a fiction story about a man who tries to communicate with his dog.. it's interesting.. unusual...
