omg my dad went to the betty boop diner and got me some stuff from there :D he said that a lady who looks like betty boop walks around the restaurant from 11:00 to 1:00 !!

Unfortunately, my own experience was not a very good one. The diner was clean (no hair) and the food tasted good, but the menu is very limited. The service was terrible, as many people had reported. If you recall, I went to the diner and wrote a full report on it. It's too bad that the management still hasn't addressed the customer service issue. The diner has a fun atmosphere because it is filled with Betty Boop, and would be especially fun for a Boop lover. It's too bad that the employees are so bad at waiting on the customers. And as one critic pointed out, the diner did not have many people in it and we still got poor service.

I haven't been back since. It was an expensive excursion just for lunch with bridge tolls and parking expenses. We didn't get a milkshake and that is one thing that I want to try because the milkshakes at the diner have gotten rave reviews!

Some of the reviews were unfair, that's for sure. One reviewer obviously doesn't like Betty Boop and really had no business writing the kind of review that she did. I mean, if you don't like Betty, why go to her diner???? She prattled on about how she hated Betty's voice and such. When I was there they played piped in music and there were no Betty Boop sound efects, so I don't understand why she ranted about it in the review.

A couple of the reviewers wrote that they ended up walking out because they could not get waited on. Honestly, I do believe that. If I had gotten that service anywhere else I may have walked out too. But I did spend a lot of time taking photos so I was able to occupy my time.

I hope that someone at King Features can do something about the management because they are not doing Betty any favors.

Well, unfortunately I don't think they can. The company that owns the diner is a different company and has simply purchased the rights to use the Betty Boop theme. I believe that it's the same company that owns Lori's Diners.

The only thing that King Features can do is present the negative feedback and insist that the company clean up its act since it is spoiling the Betty Boop image.

It's really too bad. I was there and the Betty Boop Diner has the potential of being a really great experience if managed correctly. They really should expand the menu too.

If it woulld have the menu and service that it seems the S.F. has, then you can have them. It would never make it here. Then again S.F. has incrredibly good restaurants so I'm not sure how it can make it there.

The licensing might be too high or maybe they don't see any profit in openning them.
