Hi guys

I dont really get a chance to come on here much something i am going to change!! but I wondered whether any of you have had that friday feeling but then wondered what you were going to do for the weekend. I have been getting it recently think must be the post xmas blues lol I am feeling a bit sad with nothing to look forward to

Any way thought this would also be good idea to get to know each other more.

So let me have your ideas of things to do at the weekend maybe we can all learn something from each other and be inspired by each other

From one booper to another :)

oh and by the way have a great weekend!

Well the weekend should give an opportunity to see a movie..... see a play/show. Go to an amusement park. Go out to eat both dinner and/or lunch. Visit with close friends.

Yes it was a fun day... I never saw so many 2-6 year olds in my life! LOL! But yes it was fun! It was at Peter Piper Pizza and the kids had a blast... the little kids as well as the big kids!! My sister went with us and she couldn't believe how much her grandkids have grown since she saw them last and that was just a month ago!!

Dylan will be 5 in a few days and he is so proud cause he's signed up for T-Ball and he is still interested in his guitar and that is a good thing!!

Well it started about 1940 with the Lu Waters 'Yerba Buena Jazz Band' in San Francisco. (Note you have the Yerba Buena Island, I believe, off the Bay Bridge.) The 2nd World War kind of destroyed that when everyone got drafted. They used a 2 cornet lead and a very distinctive style. The trombonist Turk Murphy (He played with that band) kind of made the style famous countrywide after that. His last concert was at Canegie Hall in New York before dying of Prostate Cancer. Turk owned a club called Earthquake McGoons in San Francisco where he and other played. It was near Chinatown. Today you have the Titanic down here which is presently led by Dan Cumins which is a comeback of the Vince Saunders 'Frisco Jazz Band' a very popular band down here when it existed. Dan played with the Frisco Jazz Band and Vince now plays with the Titanic. The Frisco band used a trumpet plus cornet lead while Dan (trumpet) mostly uses only himself as lead.

Right now in the San Francisco area you Have Ted Shafer's Jelly Roll Jazz Band playing that style (and that band is truly first rate!!!!!). They usually use a 2 trumpet lead.

There is lots more to tell but I think this is more than sufficient for now.

Yes... but I may be able to fix it. The edges are a little nibbled, but he chewed through the strap. I bought a cheap pair of flip flops at the Dollar Tree store in pink and when I wear those out I'll steal the pink strap for my BB flip flop. I just can't bear to throw them away! My mom gave me those. I guess I really AM crazy for Betty Boop!

If it is important to you then you aren't nuts for doing it.

I need to mow the grass and pull put the grassy weeds... My yard is huge and takes quite a while to eradicate the weeds. I need to plant a few more seeds too.

We're going to have family from Ohio here this weekend and we have a big family BBQ planned and of course that means bringing out our guitars and singing some songs too.

Relax, yes. Fun, yes. Eat well, yes. See all the new growth since last year and the additional traffic, also yes. Feel at home, absolutely yes.

On the weekends we spend family time together.
Sometimes we have a yard sale, sometimes we have a cookout or go out some where. Our weekends usually stay busy though.
