Hi everyone, I was just wondering what everyone has purchased last of Betty Boop. My last purchase was a Betty Boop zoppini charm & Angel pen & notebook from China. So tell me you last purchase. Talk to you all soon Gina;)

Hi Boopsiegirl. I haven't bought anything for ages, mostly because there just isn't that much around where I live. I think the last thing I bought was last summer when I went to Universal Studios in Florida and I went to the I Love Lucy shop and couldn't catch my breath at the wall to wall Betty Boop stuff. Unfortunately as it was near the end of my holiday I didn't have much money left so I bought a mug with Betty on, and my name on it. I love it! I know its just a mug, but I'm so protective over it. I have it at work, and I'm constantly checking that its not being mistreated! I guess that makes me a little bit sad!!

;)

Oh my! Another shopping thread!
I just saw some bobbleheads on EBAY yesterday! Very cute. I was tempted, but spent WAY too much money on other stuff. I bought BB socks, a metal sign, salt and pepper shakers, a BB business card holder, and a few other cool BB things.
I hope that they are all as cool as they look in the pictures.
3 of the things were from BikerBettyBoop, so I know they will be nice. I was so madly clicking and bidding that I didn't notice that they were from HER until after I'd won them!
I'll post a picture when I get them.:)

Hey Becky Boop... welcome to the forum! And are you a Biker Betty fan as well?

Thanks Lizzy for the compliments on our eBay auctions. Did you see the new "talking Biker Betty Boop bobblehead?"

Deadpool... I wish that H&M did have an online store... it sounds like you folks in Great Britain get some pretty cool things that I haven't seen here in the states.

Boy it's hot here... guess that's why they call it "hot August nights".... not much relief.. we need rain.

Hey, you're welcome. I can't wait to get them.
Today I just got something new.
On my recent EBAY shopping spree I bought Biker Betty apron. My that guy is FAST! I've gotten it already! It's a full chef type or Barbeque type apron in black with adjustable straps and a huge picture of Biker Betty herself on the bib. It's great. It's like our icon only very large and detailed. She's wearing red short shorts, black fishnet stockings with garters, and a leopard print bandeau top. She's gorgous! I can't wait to have a barbeque so I can wear it and show it off! I'm very happy with this purchase!
Talk to you soon!

EBAY HAS SOME NICE THINGS! MY FRIEND GOES TO DISNEY EVERY YEAR AND SHE TOOK A PICTURE OF A BETTY BOOP STORE!
**NOTHING BUT HER** IT LOOKS AWESOME. SHE BROUGHT ME BACK PINK LEOPARD PRINT BETTY BOOP PILLOW AND JOURNAL, "VERY GIRLY." BUT I THINK MY FAVORITE WAS THE BIKER BETTY PICTURE FRAME (3-D AND FROM THE HARLEY DAVIDSON STORE) THAT MY BOSS GAVE ME FOR CHRISTMAS.:P  ;) :) :D

Hi Lizzy;
I got the Betty Christmas tree ornament at a store in the mall. They had figurines and calendars too. It was not a Carlton Card store but they carried quite a few ornaments by Carlton Cards. They should be available everywhere since Carlton ornaments are second only to Hallmark. ( Except Hallmark does not carry Betty Boop. )

Yes, I've been snooping around EBAY a lot lately, and it has just cost me a bunch of money because I won all but one item!
Geez! Usually I only win a couple, but this time I almost won it all!
I think the whole thing totalled to about $125! I've got to stay out of there! And this time it is all Betty Boop stuff!:D
Let's see, I'm getting 3 cool tin signs, 2 watches, 2 magnets, a lovely jewelry box, 2 BB videos, and a window decal.:D
I hope that they are all as nice as they looked in the pictures.

Hi Biker Betty;
I just checked out the Carlton Card Web Site - www.carltoncards.com . when you get to the site type in "Betty Boop" into their search engine. They have a new Betty Boop Christmas tree ornament. The 2003 ornament is called Betty Boop - Boop - Oop - A - Zoom. The cost is $16.95. Also available is the 2002 ornament "Perky Pilot" Betty and Pudgy are in an airplane.
Prior years have included Betty popping out of a Box next to a christmas tree, as well as Betty sitting on a crescent moon. (Those were not available on the web site.)
You will love the new ornament. Betty is on the same motorcycle that is shown on your icon. She is wearing the same hat but is wearing denim jeans and boots, not the mini skirt pictured on your icon.

I just got in a couple more of my EBAY purchases. The two magnets are so cute. But the Betty Boop plastic figurine arrived busted up in pieces. I am so bummed out. And I don't think that I insured it. I've had so much good luck with EBAY I didn't bother. I'm gonna write to the seller, but I don't know if I have a leg to stand on since I didn't insure it. I'm kind of depressed about it, and it wasn't cheap....guess I'll have to break out the epoxy...one of these days...when I have time... (sigh).

I know what you mean about spending tons of money on Betty Boop collectibles... it can almost become an obsession can't it? But there's just so many neat things and if you're like me.. you want them all! Guess we just have to go slow and buy what we can afford when we can afford it.

I just bought a Betty Boop watch salt and pepper shake set. It is so cute!

I just bought a BB salt and pepper set too. I wonder if we got the same on on EBAY. Of course it's Ms.BB on a motorcycle....
I've been going too crazy on EBAY myself...I've GOT to stop for a while. But today I was so happy to receive my 2 BB videos! I now have 2 glorious hours of watching Betty Boop!
I must report a major disappointment..and I must advise that you buy insurance for anything fragile. I sometimes do and sometimes don't. This last time I didn't, and I'm really regretting it. I bought this absolutely CUTE figurine on EBAY that came in a plexiglass display box. It was BB and Pudgy with a microphone, looking much like BBooper's icon. But when it came it looked as if someone used the package as a football. It was all broken up. I was so sad...... I'm going to try to fix it, but first I have to try to figure out how to get into that display box!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need a BB smiley with tears I think....sniff! sniff!

Boopsie-cola, that porcelain doll sounds too cute! Are you going to post a picture of it?

I just put the Biker Betty floormats in my truck that I got from EBAY. They look so cool. But my fiance says that it's weird because he hates to step on her face!
Yesterday I got the purple and chrome watch that I ordered, and today the chrome one with the black band arrived. They are both very cute. I'm thinking about putting one of them on the handlebars of my bike to use as a clock. I saw someone else do this and it should look o.k. with the right watch.

I'm still waiting for my BB jewelry box....

Hi There;
There was quite a buzz over the Betty Boop pajamas that were carried by H & M on this forum. They have an H & M store here in Boston at the Downtown Crossing. I just read an article that they are looking to open a second location at Faneuil Hall in the Quincy Market area.
An H & M spokeswoman will confirm that they are looking at the space but no deal has been confirmed, however the current occupants have been asked to vacate by the end of the year.
Someone had asked what H & M stands for. It is Hennes & Mauritz.

Hey Lizzy,

It was nice meeting you at the Prescott show too and sorry we weren't able to spend more time together. Maybe next time.. hope you folks made it home safe and sound.

How did the Dragon do in the show? Did you win first place? It's a beautiful motorcycle and it should've won!!!

Did you decide if you're going to move to our area? It's beautiful country here and I know you'd like it.

Take care and ride safe!!!!

livingbooper
10-03-2003, 02:45 PM
Yes, we made it back in one piece last night. I wrote all about our adventures in another post... We decided to make it a real vacation and did the whirlwind tour of northern Arizona.

It was so great to have met you. I too wished we had more time to get together and do something but we were both so very busy. I'm sure I'll be back, and so let's make it a point to go out and/or on a ride next time, o.k.???

I'm afraid that The Dragon didn't win, although as you probably saw, it was the most worthy. Unfortunately this turned out to be a Valkyrie Riders club event and was not a public event as we were led to believe. It was a "people's choice" contest and I'm afraid that the club members picked one of their own. A basic Valkyrie with a couple of extra pieces of chrome and a blue on black flame paint job. If we'd have known that this was a club event and not a public event we wouldn't have bothered to come and would have gone to "Street Vibrations" in Reno instead. We would have made tons of sales there. Oh well, you live and you learn....
Of course, then I wouldn't have seen Arizona or have met you... So in the long run it was a good thing, I guess!:D

We are still thinking about moving to your area, but I have deepset roots here and right now I am really enjoying being home. The drive back was murder, though. And moving to northern Arizona would make us more centrally located for most of the shows. But the key is the business. So far we are operating at a loss. We depend on my income from my regular sales job. So we need to be profitable and stable to be able to make a move. So....time will tell and we shall see about a move.

I would really like to talk to you about internet sales. As I think I mentioned, I am working on our web page. I'm hoping that this will open new doors for us and make our business take off. I'd like to hear your perspective on internet sales. Do you still have my email address?

Well, I keep yabbering on and on, don't I???

Again, I would like to say that it was so great meeting you. I would like to count you in as one of my friends....:D

Take care, and I hope to hear from you soon!:D

Hi Lizzy,
I'm surprised and disappointed for you that your beloved Dragon didn't win the competition because it certainly was worthy of it! It's a beautiful bike (as is your Shadow too!)

Yes, we too discovered that it was really a club event and it's too bad that they didn't advertise because I know that more people would've come. Did you know that the local Honda dealer wasn't even aware that they were having this show and he could've been a vendor or provided prizes!

We love living here. It is so beautiful and not that far from "big city living" hop on the interstate and you can be in the Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Las Vegas or Los Angeles... well within a few hours or a day's drive.

Of course I am prejudiced but I've lived in suburbs of Los Angeles and Las Vegas and I guess you can just call me a one horse town gal from here on out!!

As far as starting a website e-commerce store, it does take some dedication and hard work. We started our business in Jan. 1998 and are glad that it continues to grow.

It was a pleasure meeting you and Don too and hopefully we can meet again someday.

Yes, they didn't run the event very well... I don't think we'll be participating in any more of their events. They really could have promoted it a lot better, and it was so foolish of them not to get the local Honda dealership involved.
Well, you live nad you learn...

I'm sure we'll be returning to your area in the not-so-distant future... we really did love it there!

It would be funny if we became neighbors, wouldn't it? We could start a little BB community, couldn't we????? lol

Take care!

Hey Lizzy.. our weather has been just beautiful the past few weeks... since Sept. we've been enjoying a rather glorious Indian summer.

The forest people are having controlled burns and that always scares me.. I hate to see them burn the trees but they say it is better to control it than to have a wildfire. So many people in the area live in the mountains and the pine trees burn very quickly.

Hope you come back soon to Prescott... we love it here.
