I need some help please.

Ok. I think I have the flu. It hit me all at once on Wednesday. I got an earache, then my head got congested, I ran a fever of 104.8 last night and kept thinking I was seeing things. Today I am still sick, my fevr is down to 99.8, but now I am coughing a dry raspy cough and I am naseated and haven't been able to eat or drink anything, I am sweating but I am cold. I called my DR's office a little while ago and since I am a new patient and they don't have a chart for me they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone. I don't think I have everhad the flu befroe, so I was wondering if anyone knew what I could do to relieve some of this pain and congestion?

Also how do I tell my daughter that I have to cancel her birthday party for tomorrow because I am sick?

HI Mrs. B.. sorry to hear that you're not feeling well... there are some excellent over the counter meds that are made just for the ailments you're describing. You can ask the pharmacist at your store for suggestions. It's not a good idea to have a party for your daughter if you're not feeling well and especially this close to the holidays, I'm sure the other children don't need to catch your cold/flu.

So explain to Emily that you're going to have to postpone her birthday party for a week or two until you're feeling well enough to help her with the party and not contaminate the other children. She should understand.

Don't cancel it.. just postpone it....

I will tell Emily for you. She asked me to other day if she could join the forum. I told her I didn't know. She said to me, "Well I'll be eight in a few days, I'm big enough to get on the computer." I just don't think she is yet old enough.
I am going to call James and tell him to bring me home some theraflu. And then I am going to make emily a cake. She may not be able to have her friends over but I have benn thinking I can still make her a cake.
