White Christmas

Holiday Cocktail Tips and Resources

This sweet cocktail can be used as a dessert, too. Though similar to regular eggnog, the white chocolate liqueur makes this drink even more decadent. Serve with cookies or a simple dark chocolate poundcake for a rich ending to the evening.

Directions:

4 ounces eggnog (homemade or commercially prepared)
1/2 ounce white chocolate liqueur
1 ounce Southern Comfort

Directions: Mix all the ingredients and serve straight up in a snifter.

Well here in Torrance we are warm compared to a lot of the state and we will have a low today of 33.
Our Governor (Arnold) has declared a 'State of Emergency' for the state because of the expected temperatures. Remeber California is the #1 agricultural state in the country so a lot is at stake.

My local Ralphs was selling some of the less damaged oranges this past weekend for $1. / lb They looked awful (at least on the outside). The oranges grown here (for the most part are Navels (for eating .... not juice).

We're expecting 4-7 inches of snow today. Valentines day gave us 18 inches and I loved it ( cept for all the shovelling :( ) At least it won't take me 4 days to do my driveway this time. I hate being handicapped. It gets so hard to to get anything done. Well What is your forcast for the day??

It isn't as bad as it used to be. The area has built up more in recent years keeping the fog more at bay.
