Whoe he Skate's?
I personally Love skating. I Inline skate and own a pair of Agrresive roller skates. My girlfriend owns a pair of Skechers RollerSkates, you know 4wheelers. We skate together sometimes.

I've been skating since an early age,but got my first pair of Inline Skates when i was about 10, i loved them. They were pretty shoddy at the time, i went through them within a year. Since then i've been skating and have gone through another pair of skates and am now on my third pair even though im looking to get my fourth pair very soon, as my skates are wrecked near enough.
About a year+ ago i took part regulary in these skate marathons around central london, it was really fun, i totally enjoyed it!
And im kinda lucky cause in the UK they organise esspecially for Skaters every Sunday.

Anyone else skate, inline, roller or Boarding? Doesn't matter which.

and 2day i went skating in hyd park, its just the perfect place 2 go skating but every1 is so pro!!! it kinda makes u feel embarrased 2 skate but it didnt really bother me, neither did the fact that i was one of te only ppl on skates and every1 else seemed 2 have blades...i felt a bit childish!
ah well i enjoyd my self even if i did look like a fool! it was a great day out,

Hey skating is great fun. Just practice a bit on your own.
I used to like to skate when I was your age. (a bizillion years ago....) Back then, there were no such things as inline skates...
But be careful.
I got knee pads, but was too cheap to buy wrist guards and fell and broke my right wrist. Was stuck in a cast for weeks one hot summer.... So I got the wrist braces when I was ready to skate again.
I still have them, but now they are old stuff.... classics I guess?
Do you have a Walmart?
Certainly it can't be too expensive if you get a pair of basic skates at a Walmart....
Go for it!
Have fun!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

We don't have Wallmart's in the UK, although Wallmart bought the british Franchise of ASDA's and that is now apart of the Wallmart family....or so they say. And there is an ASDA's down the road my house so its all cool!

Well, hopefully KAYLA has a Walmart 'cause she needs to buy skates and she's in the U.S. :)

Right, Kayla?

Oh, and besides reasonably priced skates, I hope she has a nice smooth place where she can use them....

And if you can't find a place to skate thats smooth, you should get some pure rubber wheels. Then the smoothness comes with you anywhere.

When I grew up in Southern California I used to roller skate on the sidewalks along the beach. It was great fun and good exercise. Does anyone remember the old roller rinks? They were lots of fun in the old days weren't they?

My brother is now 47 years old and has had diabetes for 35 years. He never went to diabetes camp because they didn't have them when he was young.

It is difficult living with diabetes. Just follow the doctor's advice and you should be ok.

Are you going to camp? That sounds like it would be fun!

Kayla
07-23-2003, 08:39 PM
It was fun.I miss everyone so much I only went once.I went to chruch camp two times but my mom went with me.I want to get out now but I will still miss my family.

Bikerbettyboop

Don't plan on moving out too soon. You are still young... going on 19 aren't you? Don't rush it... the time will come for you to move out on your own.

Church camp is always fun!!! I think any camp is fun!!!

Kayla

Bikerbettyboop

Kayla
07-23-2003, 09:07 PM
No I broke up with two years ago then I went to the prom with a pretty cute guy but I am not dating him.I gave my number to a guy and I though mabe he forgot about me but I sean him today and he knew me.That was the first and the last time I go up to a guy a just give him my number.

Bikerbettyboop
07-23-2003, 09:11 PM
Your telling me about giving your number to a guy made me smile and laugh... I did that once when I was a young gal in high school and afterwards I was embarassed and told myself I'd never do it again either... funny but your message brought back that memory to me!!

You are probably very attractive and don't necessarily need to give your number to any fellows.. but don't feel like it was a terrible thing to do. Hopefully he will call you and all will work out well for both of you.

Kayla

I dont think I am attractive.I am fun and I like to have fun.I live in a small town all the boys are stouped.

I am so sorry to hear of your diabetes. I know it must be very hard to live with it sometimes.
But I can tell by your writings that you have a big heart and are very special. Please don't feel guilty because of what your parents have done to help you. You are their baby, their special little girl, and they must love you dearly. All their sacrifices came from their hearts. If they they think you have guilt it must make them feel bad. Just think of yourself as a gift to them, and think of their sacrifices to you as their gift to you.

I hope that you will be able to get your rollerskates. That would be so fun for you! Life is too short, you've gotta make the best of what you have. I'm sure if you get into doing something fun, something that really makes you happy, your parents will be filled with joy.

I agree with Bikerbettyboop that you should not rush moving out. It is a tough, expensive world out there. Enjoy your youth and your time at home. I moved out at 18, and I've always felt that I missed something. It was very hard then. I can't imagine how hard it must be now for young people....

When the time is right, make those plans, but in the meantime, enjoy these times with your family!

Take care Kayla!:D

P.S. There are ALL KINDS of beauty. I can tell that you are a very beautiful person. I bet you're cute too, even if you don't think so yourself!

Well, Kayla....
It will be hard to bring up the subject at first.

I would suggest that you get to know them a little. Let them know you care...
Let them know that you don't like people making fun of them, that they are valuable as human beings...
Then ask if it's o.k. to discuss something personal... It's very important to get their permission.... If they trust you and give you the o.k., then tell them that you feel you need to level with them about something.... Tell them as gently as you can your concern...
If they don't give you permission to discuss a personal subject, then I'm afraid you'll need to drop it, at the moment at least...

Well, I hope that I helped!

Take it easy:D

Geeez Deadpool! Kayla is new and asked me a question. I simply answered it, trying to help. The whole thing started when Kayla expressed a desire for skates but was unsure if she would be able to get any.
As for skating, I'm done with the topic.
Only so much you can say about skating. Geeeez....

I believe DEADPOOL was not making light of the direction this thread was heading.

No one should take offense to him trying to keep this thread to the original topic. As moderator, that's part of his job!
