Hi Cyndix;
I volunteer for that assignment. I will head over to the Bull and Finch Pub ( The inspiration for the TV Show Cheers ) and order a Root Beer ( they probably do not have their own Root Beer ) then head over to the Cheers Bar. I will have a Root Beer in honor of the Betty Boop Fans.

Hi There;
I must admit that I have not gotten a chance to go to Cheers and ask about their Root Beer but I expect to be there next week. I will be sure to hoist one in honor of the fellow Boopers.

Hi There;
As promised I headed over to Cheers to try their root beer.
They now have three Cheers Bars.
The first one used to be called the Bull and Finch Pub. This is on Beacon Hill. It was the inspiration for the TV show "Cheers".
You will recognize it from TV as they used this bar for the exterior shots. You would not recognize it if you went inside as the TV show was filmed in Hollywood except for a few exterior shots when the actors were in town. On the night of the Cheers finale Jay Leno broadcast the Tonight Show Live from the Bull and Finch Pub. The problem with a live broadcast from a bar.... They were rather drunk. It was a hilarious show that night. The name of the bar has since been changed to Cheers - The Original.
The second Cheers is called "The Replica" They made an exact replica of the Cheers Hollywood set and made it into a tourist attraction/museum at Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston ( Quincy Market ).
They just opened a third Cheers adjacent to Cheers - The Replica at Quincy Market as well. This had been a jazz club and was bought by the Cheers people. They still have jazz bands so only the name has changed. It is called Sam's Cafe at Cheers.
Oh I forgot. The Root Beer was very good. It was $2.50 a bottle.
You can purchase a four pack to but it would be expensive for postage. You can check out their website at www.cheersboston.com or you could call their toll free number at 1-800-962-3333.
