Here are the pictures of my bike. They are not perfect but it's all I have for now. I'll take better pic's on a nice and sunny. The Betty Boop on the fender is my tail light. Betty's face turns brighter red when I use the brakes.

From the description, Betty Boop is a tail light. Her face was painted around the light. Pretty slick!

DEADPOOL,

No tan on Betty's face!!! It looks dark when the key is not turned on. When the key is on Her face is a bright red, and gets evevn brighter when I apply the brakes. I just wanted somehing different. Not something everybody already has or seen.

WOW! Betty Boop Motorcycle

Bikerbettyboop
The year of my bike is a 96. It's made by Honda and the model is a Shadow ACE. with 1100cc engine. The guy is my boyfriend, he is the one who got me started on redoing my bike. When I got the bike in '98 it was Black and Tourquise, with nothing else on it, no windshield, running lights. It was just stock. Then I had a betty boop guardian angel painted on the tank. After that!!! I got in a mood, and decided to redo the whole bike. New tank, fenders,
white solo seat, pipes, chrome and more chrome. figured after that I thought to my self might as well get a new paint job too. Also I do live in Florida. Here you can ride year round. Gotta love it. If you ride a bike.

livingbooper, Thanks, Yes I have entered it in 6 shows since I've got it redone and have won 5 of them. We went to a bike show at a church and there was 115+ bikes and I won 2nd place Best Of Show. I was shocked. It has to be the paint job. I designed it myself. And I designed the tail light also.

Actress Betty, Thanks. I took the Motorcycle Safety Riders Course. It was the best thing I had done. Learned a lot, turns, stops, stopping on a curve. Where to go if someone is heading at you.
The course will save alot of lives. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Thanks everyone, Elaine

Hey Elaine,
Congrats on the wins!
I ride a 1998 750 Shadow ACE, and my fiance rides an 1100 Shadow ACE. It's nice to see a Shadow win contests!!!!
We also have a showbike the we call The Dragon because it has dragons all over it. It's a Honda Valkyrie, a 6 cyl. beast. It started out as a 1520 cc bike, but's been bored out to an 1800cc bike. Believe it or not, we got it from Pompano Pat's in Florida! We had it shipped across country. Everybody loves it, but we're having a tough time winning trophies here in California because it is a Honda and Harleys dominate here, I'm afraid, whether they deserve it or not. It won numerous trophies back east, though, so we are still hopeful. Be glad you are in Florida, the shows sound more fair there....

I am working on customizing my Shadow. So far I've only had the windshield etched with Betty Boop and roses. I haven't been brave enough to touch the paint yet, the bike is so mint. But in time I know it will evolve further. Your bike is certainly an inspiration!

I hope to talk to you soon!:)
Ride safe!:D

Hi Kristal,

Glad you're enjoying yourself on this site!

Not to burst your bubble but regarding the Betty Boop image... it's the property of King Features Syndicate, Inc. / Fleischer Studios, Inc. It's not yours to give out for free nor should it be creditted to you. ;)

That is how I got started customizing my bike. First thing I put on it was a windshield and saddle bags. You know the basic things I had to have. My husband had a Valkyrie in 98 when they first came out. He planed on customizing it also, but unfortunetly he got cancer of the esophous and died 4 months later. At first I was going to keep his bike. But due to other things I had to sell it. It was a really well balanced bike and I liked to ride it. But every time I rode it, it took my mind back to him and I couldn't get past that so I had to sell it. That was back in March of '99. Now I have a boyfriend and he has a Yamaha RoadStar that he has customized to the max. It's 1602cc's. I can ride it with no trouble at all, and it's lower then the Valkyrie. If I were going to buy another bike I honestly beleive I'de buy a RoadStar now. My Dad also rides but he rides a Harley Road King. It's not customized. But he likes it that way.

All the bike shows here in Florida that I've been to cater to Harley's also. It is tough winning anything besides Best Import.
But I have won Best Custom, Best Custom Paint, Best Import and Peoples Choice. And the 2nd Place Best Of Show. Of course you know that's my favorite trophy, it's 3 1/2 foot tall.
A lot of the Harley riders got mad over that one. LOL

I think Betty Boop looks good on any motorcycle and apparently a lot of people agree because I've seen her painted on many bikes and it always looks good. She just fits that persona so well, doesn't she? And Abettyboopster's bike is a wonderful example!!!

Congrats to Abettyboopster and to Livingbooper (Lizzie and Elaine) on their beautiful Hondas. Nice bikes! And glad to see other women riders joining the ranks of "Biker" Betty Boops!

Shame on any Harley rider who gets mad at an import rider! I too have seen and been a victim of some of the Harley attitude and it's annoying and uncalled for.

And what's worse in my book are those old die hards who think a woman's place is on the back seat behind a male rider. Boo to them! Women all around the world are showing these guys that we can handle these bikes too!

And a big huge hug and thanks is due to all those husbands and boyfriends and dads who supported the women in their lives when they wanted to ride motorcycles!

Am I right or am I wrong?

livingbooper
08-06-2003, 12:19 AM
Right on Sister!

We female riders deserve credit too! A high five to all who ride on their own!!!! Those neanderthals who think a woman's place is on the back of the bike rank right down there with those that think women should be barefoot and pregnant.

Nothing compares to controlling your own machine. Am I right???

Betty Boop is the perfect symbol for us, I think.
She's pretty, sexy, cute, coy, strong, independent, and can ride on her own. She's beautiful, and her sense of innocence blends stunningly well with her sexiness and character.

Yes, and I throw out a big hug to the REAL men who let their ladies ride free!!!!

Do you think the tatoo I'm considering should be Biker Betty????

Catch ya later!

Oh, and Abettyboopster,
I am so sorry to hear about your husband. That must have been very hard. I am so happy to see that you have picked up your life and are doing positive things with it. Just proves that we women are strong and are survivors.
Keep on riding, and keep on showing.
Maybe we'll meet at a show someday.... you never know...

Keep us posted on your wins, and I'll keep posting too.

And ride safe.

Maybe someday we can all do a Booper run...
Well, ya can dream, can't ya?:)

livingbooper, I am thinking that You and Bikerbettyboop should all hook up in Daytona either in Nov for Biketober Fest or in March for Bike Week. I wanted to go to Sturgis for their bike week but my boyfriend has to work. And it just wouldn't be the same without him there. So maybe next year when he can shut down bussiness for a while. It's very hard for him to take time away in the summer months. He owns a Lawn Care and Land Scaping bussiness.

There has been a tremendous amout of women starting to ride their own bike. There's about 12 of us in a own little group. Out of the 12 of our group. We all have met at bike shows and became good friends. We celebrate everyones Birthday and so on. There are 4 women myself included. Not to bad huh?? We have all been friends for 4 1/2 years now. Some of us live 10 miles apart, so we just meet somewhere in between for breakfast and then ride after that. We usually ride a good 200 - 300 miles in a weekend. I haven't been able to ride since May 18th. Was in a car accident, so I just kinda follow behind in my truck. Sometimes just stay home. It can be depressing driving in the truck, so I'll stay home. But Hey it could be worse.

I have met some beautiful people in the motorcycle world. My boyfriend for one :)

livingbooper
08-07-2003, 12:37 AM
Hey, it's so cool that there so many women riders now. I think that it is so wonderful that you have that close circle of riding friends and there are 4 women!
I'm sorry that you are unable to ride ride now. What a bummer! This is the height of the riding season and you must be going CRAZY!!!! I hope that you heal enough to ride soon. I will send good vibes your way to help you heal, o.k.? Did you break bones? That always takes longer. But keep a positive attitude. I firmly believe that your mind is the best healer. Really. Just meditate, envision your body whole, strong, healed, and healthy. Your mind will make you heal faster. Honest. I've seen it work.

From what I've seen there are many wonderful people who ride motorcycles and we are kind of a community. We are a brotherhood/sisterhood with ethics and codes of honor. In olden times we would all probably be horseman, some of us knights.
Well, as with any group, there are some bad elements, but for the most part most of the bikers I've met are good decent people.

I think it's so cool that you met a wonderful man. I'm curious, did you meet him at one of the shows? That would be too cool. You would certainly have a whole lot in common!

Well, I'll talk to you soon, and I send healing thoughts your way!

livingbooper, Yes I did meet my boyfriend at a bike show. And we do have a lot in common. No I didn't break any bones, but herniated 4 disks 2 in the neck and 2 in the low back, and several pertruding in between. And now have TMJ, pop the Cartlidge in my jaw. So am still going to PT and Chiropractor 3X a week. But I'll be better soon.

livingbooper
08-07-2003, 01:40 PM
Oh, you poor thing! Well I hope you're PT is progressing well and you get healthy real soon. That kind of injury is the worst because it takes so long to heal. I'm afraid you will never be quite the same as before the accident, but I hope that you recover well. I hope that you can get back up onto two wheels soon. Do you still show, with the help of your boyfriend?

Yesterday a few of us went on a nice ride and ended up at a place called Howie's. They hold a classic car show and gathering every Friday and we hung out and enjoyed the show. I brought my camera and took lots of pictures.
I also took a couple of pictures of my windshield with the Betty Boop etching, so I thought that I'd share it. My fiance also took a couple pictures of me, which I'll post on the thread I started called Betty Boop's Motorcycle Corner.

How are you doing? Are you showing your bike this weekend? We went to a so-called show in Stockton this morning, but turned right around and went home. It was listed in Thunder Press, but it was a joke. It was a gathering of a few bikes and trikes at a skanky bar and looked very sleazy. Even though the trip took over an hour to get there, we turned right around and high-tailed it back home. The few guys we saw looked like crusty old-school bikers.... yuck! Well, hopefully we'll have a better event next time. I guess just because it makes the Thunder Press doesn't mean that it is a real show....
I hope you're doing well with yours...

Ask mgchan for help on posting pic's. That is how I got all mine on the site.

We have a local motorcycle magazine here. It's called Full Throttle Magazine. They publish all bike events around the state. But there are a few that are on the skanky side and we just leave and go for a nice ride. Full Throttle Magazine has just expanded out to California and up north somewhere but I'm not sure how far north.

My husband Don and I rode to a show that was being sponsored by the Christian Motorcycle Association this last Saturday and it was pretty nice. There were some cool bikes there. This is a pretty rural area and so sometimes it's difficult to get a big turnout and this was actually pretty nice.

It was at a restaurant called Hailey's... which is right next to the Harley dealer in Mayer....

So Don and I walked over to check out the new bikes and he ended up getting a brand new Heritage Softail Classic for his birthday... it sure is beautiful!!

Thunder Press is a huge magazine now! I remember when it was only a few pages about 7-8 years ago!

You folks take care and ride safe!

Looks like you two will be getting in a lot of riding.
Are you going to post a picture of it? I'd love to see it!

Yes, nice shows with big turnouts are a lot of fun! I'm glad you guys had a good time.

Next weekend I'm back to work, and looks like there's a lot more happening:mad: then this last weekend. Oh well, I'm low seniority where I work and had to take what I could get.... But we ARE getting in a lot of riding:) and that's great.

livingbooper Things here are going well. Except yesterday I was washing a coffee pot and it shattered, cut my left hand in between the ring finger and pinky. Severed 3 tendons so Emergency Room Doctor had to stitch the tendons back together and then put 8 stitches on the outside to close it up. Not a very pleasant time there. Stitches come out in 14 day's and I can't wait. Now I can't use my left hand for 14 day's. But things are much better today. Got meds for pain and a sling to keep it at the heart level. But I'll be okay in a day or so.

Bikerbettyboop, A big congrats on the new bike. Wish it were me buying another bike, but I'de have to keep the Betty Boop bike I have now. Hey 2 bikes never hurt anyone.ENJOY!!!! ride safe.

Take care of yourself, o.k.?

I wish you a speedy recovery!

Well, we have 3 bikes. His 1100 Shadow, my 750 Shadow, and our show bike The Dragon.

So, sure, it's o.k. to have 2 bikes. You have an awesome one to show, and it is perfectly o.k. to get another one to ride all the time (this preserves the showbike).... And you've gotta keep the Betty Boop bike!

Well, please take care of yourself, and I'll talk to you soon.

Ouch... that sounds like a painful cut. I don't like glass coffee pots for that very reason. I bet I've shattered 6 of them in the past few years.. so I bought a stainless steel one.. it's safer!!

Yep, we have a garage full of motorcycles too... Don has his original Harley (13 years old now) and his new one.

I have my new Harley and my Harley training wheels (ha ha... I have a 250 Suzukia cruiser that I learned to ride on)

So we have 4 motorcycles...

Here's a picture of Don's new bike.

Bikerbettyboop, That's a beautiful bike. Perfect color. And I'm going to buy stainless steel pots also, sure don't want to go through this again. To much hassle trying to do things one handed. Went to doctor again today, she said maybe the stitches can be taken out next Friday. I hope so.

Bikerbettyboop
08-20-2003, 08:47 PM
Yes, buy stainless steel... beware of glass!! Especially if you are clumsey at all like I am. Glad to hear you are healing well enough to have stitches removed.

My husband and I rode up to the Grand Canyon for the Harley 100th celebration there. It was quite an experience... about 7,000 Harleys were there. It was cool.. but rained so the weather wasn't cooperative!

Last Saturday Don and I were riding to the dealer and a guy on a Harley Sportster passed me and then passed Don. As the three of us were riding along together, a woman turned left in front of us and the guy on the lead bike slammed into her. It nearly killed him. He is in critical condition in ICU at a trauma hospital in Phoenix. I was pretty traumatized by it all and even considered giving up riding motorcycles. But decided that I'm not going to quit yet.

So Please help us spread the word... tell all your friends to watch out for motorcyclists when they're driving their cars or trucks. Let's make the world a safer place for motorcycles!

Abettyboopster
08-21-2003, 12:20 AM
Bikerbettyboop, I'm glad that you have decided not to give up riding yet. People do need to be more alert no matter what they are driving, I've heard OH I didn't even see you coming. But I've heard it from people driving cars and on bikes. 3 years ago we were in St. Petersburg and heading back home when we went into a blind curve with no lighting at all. Then all of a sudden there were head lights coming at us in our lane. We were riding staggered and my Dad ended up going off the road into the grass and it was full of dew, but not to our knowing. I went off the road and around the car and back on to the road, and my friend riding staggered behind me had to go into the other oncoming lane and passed the car and got back into our lane. But the last thiing I remembered was seeing my Dad rolling on the side of the road in the grass. Come to find out after we all were off the road and picked up my Dads Road King. That after he had went off the road he had hit a small pot hole in the grass. We were 45 miles away from home. A really nice guy stopped to help. He had Tripple A and had 100 miles of free towing. He say's ( where do ya live, and I say 45-50 miles north of here, and then he say's I'll give ya 50 miles of my 100 free towing ) He calls AAA and they come put Dads bike on a flat bed wrecker and tow it 45-50 miles. I thank the guy and he say's I've been in that spot myself on a bike. Finally get Dad to The hospital at home and he had broke all the ribs on his left side broke all the bones in his left shoulder and collar bone front and back. Punctured his left lung and broke his right arm. What a nightmare. I didn't think he would get back on a bike. But he sure fooled me and everyone we ride with. 3 months later I was riding on the back of my own bike, cause there was a ride to Leesburg and he wanted to go.
So he rode my bike and I rode on the back. He was 65 when that happened. He got his bike fixed and he is still riding now and he's 68. He said if he hadn't got right back on a bike then he may have some fear later on. He was right. But however we can be walking accross the street and get hit and killed anyway. I'm going to live my life to it's fullest and enjoy myself.

Wow ABettyBooper.... what a story about your dad. I had an uncle that was killed on a Harley (a drunk driver crossed the center line and sideswiped his bike). My dad spent his 40th birthday in the hospital cause he also had a bad accident. But he loved motorcycles and I spent a lot of time riding behind him when I was growing up. I lost my dad to cancer in Jan. 96 and he never got to see me ride my own Harley (But I do think he sees me from heaven)..... anyway... you're right.. it's a challenge and we just have to be very careful when we're riding.

Frank (the fellow who was in the accident last Saturday) is still in critical condition. The doctors fear that they aren't going to be able to save a leg and an arm and he's having kidney failure. He is 40 years old and married and has 5 kids!

This is really tough on his family and friends.... so keep him in your prayers.

Lizzy.. I too have had a couple scares but thank God no accidents... and glad to hear the same goes for you too!

livingbooper
08-22-2003, 12:33 AM
Well, Theresa, I for one will say a prayer for Frank that he will have a speedy recovery and will be back with his family soon. I hope that he isn't the sole breadwinner...that would be such a hardship. I hope that he has good benefits. I'll pray for his family too.

livingbooper, I'll also say a prayer for Frank and his family. Last night my boyfriend and I were driving down the road and saw a Black 883 Harley Sportster down in the center lane, it was raining pretty well when we drove past. So I said slow down I want to be sure it's nobody we know. Well the bike was so totaled so bad you couldn't really be sure if it was black or dark blue. Police everywhere they wouldn't let us get close enough to see if it was anyone we knew or not. They had already air lifted the guy to the Trauma Center in Tampa. However this morning we heard on the news and unfortunetly it was a guy we know. And he died on the way to the hospital in the hellicopter. So I'm praying for his family also. I think he was only 26 with a girlfriend, not sure if the kids are his or hers from a prior relationship. But I'm sure that I'll know before the funeral. GOD I HATE THOSE THINGS. I keep saying I'm not going to any more unless it's my own and then I won't have a choice. Police weren't sure who hit who, but the way it looked, it looked like the person in the car pulled out in front of the bike. They just don't look good enough for bikes.

livingbooper
08-23-2003, 01:59 AM
Yes, I know. Maybe we riders just have to spread the word and talk about it on forums like this. Maybe we can spread some awareness to those who drive with 4 wheels. Some people are just road hogs, though that they don't pay attention. Tonight I was driving home the Ram pickup I just bought and had my signal on, was starting to merge into the lane (and this truck is BIG) and some little white car sped up from behind and went right by me bound and determined to get ahead of me. Thank goodness I was looking out and was paying attention and pulled back into my lane. We could have collided. It's stupid drivers like that who cause accidents.

I am amazed how many downed bikers there are this week. I hope it ends now. Don't bad things happen in threes? Earlier this week my fiance and I found out about a guy we'd met recently who belongs to the club that we used to belong to. He got into a real bad accident and it was real touch and go, but he's making it, but he'll be laid up for a very long time. Then BikerBettyBoop is riding with a fellow she witnesses get into an accident by a car turning into him. Now your friend, same thing but he didn't make it. I hope to high Heaven that this is the end for now. We must all stay aware, and make others concious of motorcyclists.

I really believe that visibility is the key to being safe and being seen. More than ever I think that it is a good idea to put running lights and decorative lights on bikes to not only make them more attractive but to make the rider more visible.

Abettyboopster, I am so sorry to hear that your friend has left us and joined the riders in the sky. I'll say a prayer for his family and loved ones.
Please take care.

And, again, I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. I know it must be hard. Just keep him in your heart, keep his memory alive, and he will still be with you.

Take care, Sweetie.

Hi everyone...

I know that there are motorcycle accidents everyday and we just have to get the word out for people to be more cautious.

I learned about two more accidents that recently happened. One involved a husband and wife pulling a trailer behind his Road King and someone turned in front of them. The trailer jack knifed and the wife was thrown off the bike and died. Turns out they were from Washington and traveling through Flagstaff when the accident happened. It was the husband's 70th birthday. What a sad day for him.

Also heard that a man bought a new Harley from the dealer in Las Vegas and lost control of it in a storm on I-40 between Kingman and Flagstaff. Witnesses said he had a back tire blow out. He also passed away.

So we have to be vigilant and ride safe!!

On a better note, Frank has been transferred from ICU to his own room in the Phoenix hospital. That is good news isn't it!!

Thank you! It took long enough! But we are so thrilled about it! We knew that The Dragon was worthy!

Yes, we will definately be bringing it to Prescott. And we will be entering it in the bike contest. We are hoping to secure another trophy.... And we can pick the catagory because the Dragon fits them all!

Now I'm not sure about my bike. We increased our product line and have to contend with fitting product and bike(s) together to take them. Our little trailer is way too small now and we are looking to sell it and get a bigger one.

I'm looking foreward to the show, and I'm looking foreward to meeting you.
See you then!

Yes, I went back a couple of pages and looked at what I sent. I forgot which one I sent. That is the windshield on my personal motorcycle that I ride. Somewhere else I posted a picture of my show bike The Dragon.

I'll try to post another one of it now. This is the bike we enter into the contests....

Well....thanks! (blush)
I am so glad to have met you. That was so cool. I'm sorry that I was too busy to do much of anything. I know we both were. I really appreciate it that you took the time to come down there and visit. It was really nice meeting your husband too. I really like you guys and would like to consider you our friends.
The show was a bust I'm afraid. It turned out to be merely Valkyrie Riders club event and not a public show. I'm afraid that we were misled. I hope you sold some stuff. I'm sorry that it didn't turn out any bigger. But the best part was meeting you! You are a very sweet person and I hope to run into you again in the not-so-distant future.:D

After we checked out of our hotel in Prescott we decided to have a real vacation. We headed out to Sedona (awesome country!) and stayed a couple of days. We took the bikes out for a ride there and decided to ride to the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately The Dragon was set up for sea level (having come from Florida) and was running way too rich at the high altitudes (which was over 7000 feet at one point) and we had to turn back after 30 miles. It was running way too rich and it was misfiring. It has six carburators, and we were afraid of losing one (very expensive to replace). Don says that flames shot out of it a couple of times. After we got the bikes back to the hotel, we decided to go back with the truck. We saw the Grand Canyon in the late afternoon and I took lots of pictures. Breathtaking! Awesome! These words just do not express the sheer magnificence of this place! We drove along the Desert View Road taking pictures and enjoying the views, watched the sunset there, until it was dark then we headed back to Sedona.
The next day we took a 4-wheel drive Jeep tour of the Red rocks of Sedona. That was awesome and worth every penny. The driver was great, very informative and knowlegable, and he was too funny, made the whole experience fabulous. I took lots of pictures up there too.
After we were on the road a while, heading west toward home, Don decided that since I had never been to Las Vegas he wanted to take me there. So off we went to Vegas to check out the sights and to an entirely different environment. I felt like we were a couple of gypsies!
Well, now we are home, and just chilling out. Whew! What a trip!

Don is still talking about moving to Arizona eventually. I'm not sure just when that will happen, but maybe someday soon we'll be neighbors... Like I had said before, I knew Arizona was supposed to be beautiful, but I had no idea that it was so breathtaking! I just loved it there!:D

Take care, and I hope to talk to you soon... By the way, did you get my phone message? I called your number and got an answering machine. I left my cell phone number there...

Whew is right... what a trip you guys had. I thought you were heading home on Monday and didn't realize you were still in our area! Glad you got to see the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas!! Sounds like you two certainly were gypsies!

Yes, I did get your message but not til late and as I said, I thought you were probably on your way home by then.

It must be nice to be rich enough to travel half the country while you were here!!!

Glad you enjoyed yourselves!!! Come back anytime!

Don is right to consider moving here it's a beautiful state with really nice people that still has a lot of the wild west to it.

Hi Theresa!
Well, we're not rich, but I just have lots of credit cards! lol
Actually, now I have to focus on paying the bills.
There is a huge show in a couple of weeks in Palm Springs, and everyone says we should go, but it is very expensive to rent booth space. We are still debating....

We had a real good time in Arizona, and I have the pictures to prove it! Got some great ones of Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

Take it easy!

The Nevada Harley Owner's Group is having their state rally this weekend and I tried to talk Don into riding over there.. but he still doesn't feel that I am experienced enough.. so guess we won't go.

Next week is a motorcycle show and rally in Laughlin too and I'd like to go.. maybe I can talk him into riding over....

He just worries about me too much!!!

livingbooper
10-17-2003, 03:45 AM
Funny you should mention the Nevada state rally. The week we got back from vacation and Arizona the HOG California State rally was going on right across the street from my bank in Concord. So we headed over there and got into that as vendors for the weekend. Didn't sell much 'cause they kept taking everyone away from the Hilton on rides that ended at various local HD dealerships, then came back for dinners at the hotel. They kept the riders so busy that they didn't have time to shop. But I bet it was fun for the riders! None of the vendors did very well, though.... but Dragon made some good contacts and friends there.

Too bad Don doesn't think you are experienced enough as it would have been a lot of fun for you. But I know he has your safety in mind. The members go on group rides, and riding in a group is a lot different than riding with a friend or two. You have to stay in group formation and you ride closer to other riders than you might feel comfortable doing. I don't feel that I am ready to ride in such a large group myself. I've ridden on the back of The Dragon on a couple of rides with my Don when we were members of a riding club, and I know what it's like. I think that your Don is actually being wise for not letting you ride on your own to this event, truthfully. But perhaps, with a little more riding experience, he might let you go next year.

If you go to Laughlin, you'll have to stop by our booth and say "Hi" to my Don! He will be there in Laughlin for that show. I will be here in Concord, CA working at my regular job....
We just got our new seat that we ordered from the Ultimate Seat guy at the show in Prescott. It's gorgeous! It's custom, two toned black with tan leather trim with studs and conchos. Let me know what you think! You saw the old Corbin seat....

Say "Hi" to Don for me. Tell him that I hope you guys make it to Laughlin!

Have a fun vacation!

Laughlin Run to Fun Rally.........

Yes Lizzy we are going to the rally too... will probably go up Tuesday or Wednesday but won't stay for the whole weekend.

We're going to ride our motorcycles and I'm looking forward to it. We'll ride to Seligman and pick up the old Route 66 and ride it to Kingman and then ride the rest of the way to Laughlin. It should be fun... only bad thing is it will be hot...close to 100 each day!

So tell Don to be prepared for it to be hot! It should start getting nice by the weekend though.

I talked to someone at the Riverside Resort today and she said they have 600 reservations for the rally.

I wanted to be a vendor but Don doesn't want to... so guess we'll just go and check it out.

Take care and wish you could come too.

Don should be there late on Wednesday. We have a meeting with a real estate guy Wednesday about the shop Don wants to lease. We'll see what happens. He will be leaving right after that meeting. He will probably arrive very late. He'll be setting up Thursday. As far as I know, not much will be happening till Friday. I think Friday is when the event really starts. Will you be there then???

Hi! Yes he finally got home safe and sound on Thursday...took him 2 1/2 days to get back because of road closures due to the fires, and road construction when he got past the fire zones. Boy, he was one tired dragon when he finally got here. He's had a headache now for several days and a bad cough left over from breathing the smoke and ash. But he's clearing up and at least he's home safe now!
Thanks for asking!

Glad that he made it home ok and is now safe and sound and hopefully over his bad cough. The smoke blew into our area and has hung around for days. In fact, Don was just saying this evening that it's still smokey here. Glad most of the fires are out. Thank God! It was really bad wasn't it?

Yes, they say that this has been the worst disaster EVER to hit California in recorded history (based on the massive scope of the damage and the dollar losses). Thank goodness it is all over. Don is finally back to normal, but he was sick for a few days when he first got back home.
