My daughter found a DVD: Betty Boop "And the Girls of Mischeif"

It says it includes the ONLY color cartoon, Poor Cinderella (1934)

In this cartoon Betty Boop's hair is RED!

I have NEVER seen her with red hair..

well i havent seen this cartoon but it sounds funny! i cudnt imagine betty boop with red hair!

iv herd about this cartoon but never knew where to find it,thanx 4 telling me its on "betty boop and the girls of mischeif" i might just go look for it if it doesnt have to many cartoons on the dvd that i already have in the definitive collection,

as for poor cinderella being betty boops only cartoon in colour..im sure that cant be right! "both betty boops hollywood mystery" and "the romance of betty boop" are also in colour, and rest assured in these cartoons betty's hair colour is jet black.
bess xx ;)

'Poor Cinderalla' was the only Betty Boop cartoon in color before 1985. The others out on the market are 'colorized.'

You said:

Would that make them less valuable? AS a collecter I like the ORIGINAL..

But if the colorized versions are worth their money I would get them..

My opinion is you collect things because you enjoy them and they have value to you.

What I do agree is if you are a true collector, yes you want the 'original' or licensed items. The 'colorized' BB videos were licensed.

I have some of the 'colorized' BB cartoons and actually enjoy them over the B&W versions! I know... I'm not a BB purist!

Is the 'colorized' one less valuable? If you're a B&W purist and hate any movie or cartoon being 'colorized' then the answer is yes.

You should love what you collect.... be it in color or black and white... as long as it's Betty Boop and you absolutely love it then be happy with it!!! That's how I feel!!
