Im sorry MGChan but i have to do this for you.........

My suggestion is why doesnt everyone leave MGChan alone and stop buging him to be moderators, im sure if he wants someone to be one he'll ask.

Just all these people signing up cant they just stop stressing about being a mod, and just enjoy chatting.....like me!

You mean like a chatroom, or istant messaging (msn). I think that would be great just as long as you have to have the same screen name as you do on the boards, so no one can pretend to be someone else.

Private Messaging has not been enabled because though I trust the BB members to use it the way it was intended, it's the 'predators' that I worry about.

I'll be blunt... it's the '****** predators' who go after young children, specifically the female gender, that I'm concerned about. They enjoy 'trolling' through chat rooms.

Safety for the members is the primary concern here. In an open 'conversation' one can at least see what is going on and is able to put a stop to it.

That's why I urge members not to post their e-mail address. If you need to do so, leave it up for a short period of time. I can also be the go between for members exchanging e-mail addresses.

Sorry about my rant... :mad: Perhaps I'm over-protective because I have a young child.

i agree with MGchan about the private messaging. i feel happy knowing that no one can send me such messages with it disabled. ;)


I also have a comment about the mod thing. i think it's up to MGchan to decide, anyway it doesn't matter if your a mod or not, your still a Betty Boop fan not matter what! you should feel proud! :D

thanks a lot for the info but i realise i'm not that pro in computers as i supposed i was!!!!!!!!!! and though i go through a reasonnable age i'm still "naive ans did think about those predators though i've already got 2 mails of the kind on this forum (you remember!!!!!!!!!) so of course i agree with you MG security goes first and concerning mods you right also, it's hiw much you enjoy the site that goes first, have a nice boop you all

hi MG it's usually like that too in besancon, june is not always the good month for barbecue but this year everybidy is complaining about the heat and less than a month everybody will complain about rain and cold weather, frenchies are always complaining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The majority of the BB members have never been in a forum, so that's why we're a little lax. :D
