Hi, in 2003 I was looking through a magazine and saw a picture of betty boop I am not sure if I never saw her before but it felt that way. I fell in love! A few months later I meet and dated a guy that was to be soon my fiance...so on the maybe 3rd date I get into his truck and he has betty boop floor mats...I exclaimed oh my god you like her to??!!! He then lifts his sleeve and there is a large betty boop tatoo on his upper arm!! I thought it a bit odd but then decided it was a sign!!! Long story short we were together 2 years. I loved bb but he NEVER got me anything bb yet kept buying himself bb things! even once he bought a pen that I had discovered with her with eifel tower behind her(my parents come from paris). In his truck he hands it to me and I go OH THANK YOU I LOVE IT!! "oh it is not for you" ! He had bought a $75 bb doll...but would not give me $3 pen! I bought him a lot of bb things...
After we broke up I couldnt stand the sight of her. I even gave him the things I had bought for myself! then little by little I didnt mind her as much then about 1 yr. ago it hit me, I had gotten into her before meeting him and he was not going to influence me into not being able to love her. Then it began to be therapeutic to the point I never now think of him when I see her!
My favorite thing to collect are the figurines!! I have 4,plus all sorts of knick knacks. There is only ONE store that carries bb figurines here and only a few...I would like to order online but a $23 dollar one I like ends up being over $50!! I live in canada by the way. I love this site!
