I started out with a premade layout. I did not have the time to learn how to create one myself. Mine is perfect for me though because it has Betty Boop and it is in purple my favorite color. I used the links that Bexi emailed to me. It actually was very easy to do.

I'm afraid I still devoted way to much time to my page the last couple of days. I kept finding sites with graphics and things to add. I learned how to change my online button too.
Now that I'm set up I shouldn't be such a stranger here, LOL!

I do have plans to add more Betty Boop images, though.....

It's hard not to keep changing and updating it. I know a gal who changes hers everyday.. photos and blog and messages and comments... she doesn't work, so she spends the whole day on My Space... she has hundreds of friends and most of them (99%) she doesn't even know... now that's an addiction if you ask me!

I told her husband that I think she is going through her second childhood... they complain about not having enough money and I told him that she should harness so much of her energy away from My Space and do something that would give her an income.

Oh my! That sounds nasty, poor thing. Make sure she gets lots of rest, even if she's feeling better.
If you are into supplemants, I recommend augmenting her therapy with garlic capsules and high dosages of vitamin C. Vitamin C fights illness at the cellular level. I swear by it, even for healing aches and pains.

I'm not sure who is suing, but I know that "Tom" is an image that is representing My Space. My Space is actually owned by Rupert Murdock and there is a lot of censorship going on. They will delete your My Space account if you say anything derogatory about My Space. There is a whole hidden agenda behind My Space and I am sitting back and watching...

There have been some strange things going on with my Space lately! Lots of down times and junk email coming to me!
Jack is a computer ace and he is always digging up stuff. He is also a rebel so he is testing the system.
I am enjoying My Space and I am using it to share my political and social views, so I am not interested in getting shut down.

But I have learned (from a number of sources) that there is a movement by the government to start an internet II which will be faster, free, and more reliable but will be censored and will be full of propaganda. The current internet will be full of bugs and less attractive. Jack used to be an IT and he is convinced that some of the worms and viruses going around the internet these days are being created by some of the software companies in order to force you to buy and upgrade their products. I've heard this theory from others too. It makes sense... We consumers spend a lot of money on firewalls, anti-virus programs, and anti-spyware programs.

Some say that the government is using My Space to watch us. I don't know about that but it's chilling to think about....

I'm not surprised about getting junk mail from sites such as My Space. This site is filled with internet ads and banners. It's easy to click on one accidentally. Yesterday I got a phone call from the University of Phoenix about getting a master's degree and I never contacted them. Somehow I must have accidentally clicked onto something that fed them my information. It's very weird.... I used to take surveys but I've stopped doing that. They SAY that the answers are strictly confidential and that my answers were simply put into a big pool and were analyzed as a group, but how do I know that they aren't keeping specific data on me?

The internet is a very public place and we must be aware of that and watch what we put on display for the world to see.

Theresa, you might try dumping your cookies and history. Then you should do a scan for spy wear. That's probably how those emails are getting through. Or someone has used your email to cause the problem. Ya never know.

So I was curious to see what it was all about. I ventured over to MYSPACE and developed my own space. It is rather interesting. I found some friends that I went to high school with, long lost "chat" buddies, and some family members.

My husband was telling me that almost everyone in his office has their own space as well. I find it interesting that these people being of the age 40plus have a profile as well. ( I am not saying it is surprising and that older people can not enjoy the computer too!) You never hear about the older people with profiles, all I ever hear about is young teens on there.

My question to you boopers:

I am just curious to know how many people actually do visit that site.

I'll have to check out your My Space page... the only problem I find with all the add ons that folks put on their My Space page is that it takes forever to load the page.

Same way with the music files on our band's website.. ugh.... you have to wait for 10 minutes to hear 2 minutes worth of music!!
