The weather here in Arizona is hot and windy and dry.

However, the east coast is getting ready for a hurricane.... so I won't complain about our weather here.

We're doing o.k.
So much to do, so little time. I work constantly right now. Deadline with the phone book coming up and I'm still working on the logo. I'm happy with what I have so far and I'll post it when I'm done. The office has become a bigger project than we thought it would be, had to rewire the room, fix walls, re-do all the mouldings, then I want to paper.... but think I'll be satisfied in the end. It will be a very pleasant place to be. Then I will get my diningroom back!!! lol! I want the room to be nice since I will probably be spending lots of time in there working and playing on the computer.
And then there is the website.... I need to finish that! Everyday that it isn't up is costing us money. We are checking out all kinds of online services we will need like shopping carts. As soon as I get the online catalogue done, we'll have to start making decisions as to what companies to use for our credit card merchant account and shopping cart.
So I will get the logo done, finish the office, then I can focus on the website.
Don is talking about getting a shop. He is making lots of friends and connections in the business. He has a friend who has a shop who sells custom bikes on consignment. Don has made contacts and is planning to open a shop to do the same. Do you know about Arlyn Ness custom motorcycles? I'm sure your hubby does. Well, Arlyn Ness has agreed to put a couple of his bikes into our shop when we get it. And he has gotten committments from 3 other custom bike builders as well. We'll be paid a commission for the use of our floor space when they sell. I am so blown away by the progress we are making! I am amazed at what Don is working on! He is determined that we will eventually be rich. I just want to be able to pay the bills...but who knows how all the hard work will pay off.
So....we haven't ridden since we've been back. (sigh). Just working too much. But I hope that in a week or so I can go out for a few hours and have some fun.....

I'm afraid that we've already paid for a years worth of this other web hoster. But Don looked into it some more and I think that it offers the same services with the same kinds of fees as yours does. I like how yours lays out a little better, but I'm trying to make our site as nice as possible. When I'm done I'll send you the link.

The Visa/Mastercard merchant services that we use now for our wireless terminal wants to set up a different account for us for our online store. They are all freaked out about fraud. They are a pain because since we are a new account they make us fax every transaction we have to them before we can get paid because they are so obsessed with fraud. Did you have that experience? I am curious to know if you have had any problems with bad credit cards and/or fraud. They've got me a little worried.... I work in retail where I need to get signatures and make sure they match to avoid fraud. We are looking to change merchant services. I'm hoping that we can get a company that will pay us in a more timely manner.....

Well, as soon as I can get these projects finally done I hope I have a little more time to smell the roses!!!!!

WOW!! It will take me forever to get anywhere. Tonight is my first night that I can take the time to visit. My sister and brother-in-law are staying with my mom to give me some time to myself. I really needed it 2. I have been taking care of her since June. All by myself. I finally told my family that I need help. I mean I have 10 brothers and sisters. I think they can start helping.

I guess I just got elected because I am the "baby". Don't get me wrong, I love my mom more than anything in the world and would do anything for her. My mom and I are best friends. We have always been very close. I think that is because my dad past away 29 years ago when I was only 4 years old, so my mom had to be both mom and dad unitl my step father came into my life when I was 9. I feel that nursing her is the least I can do for everything that she has done for me in my 33 years of life. One of my favorite songs is called "Wind beneath my wings" and my mom has always been my wind keeping me going and my dreams alive.

That is such a lovely thought about your mom. She sounds wonderful and you sound like a fabulous daughter. Kudos to you for being so together even though you are the "baby". Many times the youngest is a little spoiled and not so responsible, but you prove that this may not necessarily be so. Your mother raised you well. You are a tribute to her, as far as I can tell. I do hope that your other siblings pitch in to help you more, though.

I wish all the best for you both. May the upcoming new year bring your mother health and you more time with this precious lady.:D

I know that Thor will be a big dog because from what I could see from the pictures, he does have some pretty big paws. It's funny how they grow.. first their feet and then their bodies grow into their feet.. ha ha... And sometimes when they run and play, they end up stumbing over their own legs and paws.

I had a "Rotty" for about 5 years. She weighed in at 145 pounds. I had her "fixed" so she counldn't have babies. That's what blew her up! She was a German Rotty. I think someone poisoned her. Something (food) might have been thrown into my yard and she consumed it, got sick and just never recovered. I had to call in the city pound to take her away. Talk about hurt!!! I still miss my "CO-CO".
