Betty Boop has been in my life since i was a baby girl. My grandmother was a huge fan of Betty & i became one also. My grandmother always wore Betty Boop shirts and had watches and all sort of crazy things during my childhood. Every birthday and christmas something i recieved from her was bound to have her on it. I did not actually see any of her shows until i was about 13 and i had to google them on the web in order to see them. During high school i was called boop because from bookbag to pencils i had it. i loved her shows they were funny and yet they were so real to me even those without sound i would watch, but my real life Betty Boop passed in January of 2008 & it was as if my world came crashing down. for months i fought back tears when i saw anything affiliated with Betty Boop. i slowly began to do better & began to see that my grandmother had left her mark by instilling the values of Betty into me & Betty Boop's character became a source of healing for me. If there had been no Betty in my life i would still grieving right now. I love Betty Boop and all that she stands for. In two weeks I will be getting a pin up Betty Boop tattoo with my grandmothers name & info on it. I just thought that i would let you know why i joined this forum today.
