This is about 15+ years worth of collecting. It does not show all the LULU trays, towels, hats, books, postcards, trading cards, videotapes, etc....
Our house is too small for everything to be on display.

aww well i really waned show people my betty boop collection, but id feel a lil bit silly posting my piks after marias collection!! i can safely say it puts my teeny weeny collection shame :o :o :o :o
oh well i can always use the excuse that not only am i a very new betty boop fan but i also live in the uk!!

well they always say its quality not quantity that counts!

i try and restrict myself from buying every single little thing that has betty boop on it because i know that once i start i wont be able to stop and that id find it too hard to giva any thing away and then il end up with a cluttered up house.
i make sure that everything i buy i really really like, because although everything with betty boop on it is cute, some of the things are a lil bit tacky, id much rather stik to the danbury mint porcelain range!!

Thanks for the comments. Don't forget that every collection starts out small. Buy the stuff which you like most. There are a lot of Betty Boop items that are not done very well or don't look like she should. Try to buy only authorized items also. Enjoy what you have. My wife has tons of t-shirts, watches, and ear-rings that she loves to wear everyday.

Oh Wow!!! That is the coolest collection I've seen! I thought I had a lot now I know that I'd better get Boopin on the shopping!!
I have a few of the dolls in those pic's Like the Cheer leader and the Red dress Monre pose, and the gone shopping doll! There should be a bathing suit one too that tops of that collection!! Wonderful Booping!! I Love It!!

Wow John and Maria that is some collection. It looks like a Betty Boop boutique! 15 years worth of collecting is wondeful. Hope you have insurance coverage on all of it cause most of it is irreplacable!!!

Hope you folks are doing well south of us in Arizona!!! Did you hear about the tornado that went through Winslow? No damage thank God but that's unusual for us here in Arizona.

You're doing real well with your collection and your exhibition... don't be surprised if I call you someday and ask you to display some of it in our museum!!!!

My closet looks similar but I don't have near the collection you all have. (But we also have a weakness for Harley collectibles.. so between the two we have a lot of Betty Boop and H-D)

Hello,
We went to the Betty Boop festival again and had a good time as always. Richard Fleischer was supposed to make it, but was sick. There were a couple of other people from Fleischer Studios (?) there also. It was hot as usual. Lots to see and purchase. The store was full of new items on sale and there were 3 other booths selling older items. My interesting find was a Betty Boop bicycle jersey in the correct size for me to wear. We also went to Universal Studios for a day. They have a license to make Betty Boop items. They had lots of cool stuff. The MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas gave up thier license last year, so they don't have any more Boop stuff. : (

I wish there was a Betty Boop store/museum in Las Vegas.. that would be so neat!

Hi,

Maria has about 2 and a half rooms devoted to her collection. Every room in the house except my computer room, has some Betty in it. Someday we will try to start counting and inventorying it all. We go through phases of trying to get certain types of items. Magnets, keycahins, salt & peppers, hat pins, etc. We just got the new Betty book and looked at all the items we have never seen before. It is amazing how much different stuff has been made through out all the years. Keep collecting and enjoying what you have.

It always makes me angry when items come in broken because some of these things are not replaceable. I don't blame the manufacturer..it's the shipping company that is so careless!

mine thinks i'm crazy cause i get crazy when i see anything betty I do this breathing thing almost like an anxiody attack or somthin then when he finds out whats wrong he calls me crazy and most of the time stills buys it for me :D

My collection isn't nearly as nice as some folks have but I'm proud of what I do have. Most of the items have been gifts. I don't buy too many collectibles for myself because everyone buys them for me for my birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc. But I do buy clothing items for myself.

In fact, I just bought 3 pairs of Betty Boop lounge pants and they are soooo cute and comfy too.
