Alright nobody rarely does this so i did it myself, becuse for some unknown reason mae questel seems to be listed as doing all the voices?
Ive done a massive research on the cartoons and the vocal acting, so i might aswell add it becuse i like to know who voiced our betty boop though the ages. ive been looking on the voices since early 2008, ive made mistakes but i think ive finally learnt all the voices, also i watch the cartoons alot so i should known by now, and ive done a research on everyone on the voices of betty boop.

and what about little ann little??? i recently read the fleischer story and she was as populer as mae questel but it seems all her publicity as Betty Boop is lost in time.

also the reason why little ann rothschild stopped voicing betty boop was becuse she went on to play betty boop in person.

Mrs rothschild had a collection of publicity photographs from her Betty Boop Days she admitted, Betty Boop was the only cartoon voice she could do becuse, although she tried to change her voice it was so distinctive, producers told her it would have been recongnized.

^ photo of little ann little on Flickr which proves she did go around as betty boop in person. she would remind you of one of those people at the funparks who act as betty boop but in fact little ann little actually voiced betty boop and she didnt wear the massive sponge looking wig on her head :o

Margie Hines was the first voice of Betty boop but for some reason she seemed to have went to another studio from 1932, which was in fact the van beuren studios, and according to a Transcript for the (1931) Musical Justice
Margie hines was suppost to have played Betty Boop. but instead mae questel was casted as betty boop.

;)Well i shall now list the voices next to the cartoons in the correct order from 1930 - 1939, the cartoons start from the talkartoons series. a few might be left blank becuse either the cartoons are lost or either unknown i will also add a little story to some.;)

1929

Accordian joe - Lost Cartoon
http://www.animationarchive.org/pics/exhibitgrimnyteaser1-big.jpg
^ above in the link is a sketch of how betty boop would have looked in the cartoon, it was a one shot cartoon and betty boop was most likley full human voices and ect is all unknown. just to say in her earlier appearences she did not have a name.

1930

Dizzy Dishes - margie hines

Barnacle Bill - little ann little

Mysterious Mose - little ann little

i read the fleischer story and it said after the premiere of Dizzy dishes paramount held a audition for someone to do the voice for the new character which was in fact little ann little.

but it doesnt exsplain why margie hines was unavailable to continue doing the voice.

In 1932 margie hines did the vocals for the van beuren studios cartoon additional characters, including the Betty Boop Rip off Miss Kitty who appeared in a cartoon called :oTHE FARMERETTE:o, the vocals for the Van beuren studios were falsely credited as Bonnie poe.

the fleischer studios was looking for someone new to voice betty boop from 1930, becuse margie was proberly busy and also she isnt heard again until 1938 when mae questel refused to move with the fleischer studios.

out of all the Betty Boop voices, Only three provided the Vocals for Olive Oyl from the popeye the sailorman series

Bonnie poe did olive oyls Debut from 1933 Popeye the sailor and she also did Betty Boops, Mae questel also was olive oyls main voice, margie hines also voiced olive oyl when mae questel was busy, but was then replaced when mae questel returned.

out of both characters vocals mae questel was the most liked voice and well known it seems the others had been forgotten in time. some people like margie hines vocals.

even though Bonnie poe had been on a vitaphone short called Rambling round radio row in (1934) where she taught someone how to Boop! and did a little dance, she was titled as a Betty Boop performer, also not to mention Margie hines had a major role in Harry Warren America's Foremost Composer in 1933 where she also sang in her betty boopish voice.

Actually i take that back about 1930

i was wrong, i recently read raypointers umm lists on the animation.org and margie hines did all of 1930, its such a shame we cannot edit our posts xD

1930

Dave Fleischer handed Grim a photograph of singer, Helen Kane and asked him to design a caricature. Fleischer had found a sound-alike, and planned to use her in the upcoming Talkartoon, the soundalike they found was marjorie hines.

Dizzy Dishes - margie hines

Barnacle Bill - margie hines

Mysterious Mose - margie hines

meaning little ann little started in 1931, like the fleischer story stated.

Accordian joe was actually made in 1930 right after barnacle bill and beore mysterious mose..

i only just have got the information

so most likley margie hines provided the voice.

becuse little ann little & mae questel were recruited in 1931

bonnie poe and kate wright did the voices from 1933
kate wright didnt do that much.

yeah its great :)
ive only just found out the voices, becuse i know mae questel did many, but she didnt do all the roles, also i can tell becuse betty sounds really diffrent sometimes.

with help from nobody, i had to buy myself of the fleischer story to figure out that little ann little and mae questel were both recruited in 1931 which means margie hines did all the talkartoon cartoons as Betty Boop from 1930.
which solved my case, and that means kate wright was the voice in 1933 & returned in 1938 for a while when mae questel refused to move with the fleischer studios.

the voices of betty boop must have been really busy becuse from 1938, when mae questel quit, Bonnie poe starts doing 2 roles, then kate wright.... then from sally swing margie hines :0

also i recently found out accordion joe was from 1930, although i had seen the information before but i wasnt so sure but i thought to myself why does betty not have a snout?

im glad that i put this up
although i made mistakes i corrected them below :)

its a shame this site doesnt have edit buttons but next time i should do full research before typing, but i suppose everythings great now.
