Hi, I have just started collected Betty Boop pins from the 1930's and read previous emails about what colors they came in and views photos of pins that were sold at certain events (ie. Nywf 1939). My question regards the first pin with the scotty dog (1933?). Was it enameled as the later pins were? Was the dog enamelled too? Do you have a photo you can post? As well, the Atlantic City pin from the 1930's (1934?) . Never saw a photo of this one. Do you also have a photo you can post. And one last question. Was Betty Boop ever produced in the 1930's - 40's in gold or with semi-precious stones? Best Regards. Thank you.

Hi, I was wondering what Betty Boop collectors thoughts are on the 1939 New York Worlds Fair Betty Boop pin. It appears when the attached medallion has the word "official" on the back, the pin is worth a lot more than when the medallion has no stamp on the back. Many people have told me that if it doesn't have the word "official" it is a fake. However, I have met several people whose parents bought the pin at the fair and gave it to them. Their medallions do not have the word "official" stamped on it. In fact, I met someone who has the pin still attached to the 1939 nywf display card and theirs did not have the stamp "official" on the medallion. Any thoughts? Could there have been a second manufacturing run that did not have this stamp? Thanks

The 1932 Bett Boop with Scottie Dog pin is rare and with just the dog its worth about $100. Having the jewelry box that it came in is very rare and is worht about $250.
The Atlantic City pin is from 1934 and is rare and is worth about $150.
The 1936 Betty Boop Texas Centennial Pin is rare and is worth about $150.
The 1937 AM Expo Pin is rare and is worth about $150. 1930s Hawaii Pin is rare and worth about $150. 1939 World fair Pin is not as rare as the others mention but can be hard to find and is worth about $100. :)

wow, don't know why I am just now seeing this, it is from January!
Here's details on the pin with the dog:
1932 Betty Boop with Scottie Dog Pin. Betty is 1½ inches tall, polished silver engraved pin. ⅝-inch Scottie is at the end of a 1-inch chain, attached to Betty’s outstretched right hand. Pin originally came mounted on a 3 x 2½-inch tan card. The card has an image of Betty Co-Ed, in a red dress and hat, walking with Bimbo. At bottom center of card is printed “Come Along Littl’ Doggie”! and in the left corner “Copyrighted Fleischer Studios Inc.” This came in a “Betty Boop Jewelry” box, which has another classic image of Betty, plus “© Fleischer Studios 1932”.
No enamel versions.
Also, in another post on this thread, someone asked about the San Diego pin, and I will put a picture on that thread.

Hi Leonard: Can you look at my other 3 Betty Boop items. I have listed. I would like your thoughts on them. I believe they are all rare and I have acquired a few more interesting pieces from the 30's since then. regards
